  • Mine is Dec 2016 registered, dual disc brakes but no ABS. It was expected in 2019, but did not come through and thus discontinued. I used mine only over weekends for city trips, thus the low odometer reading.

Q. Yzf r15s I also buy this bike
  • Yes
Q. I am using R15S, can anyone knows when is the front brake pad changing time. In how many kilometres I need to change it.
  • Usually every 5,500 - 7,500 KM depending up on your usage. If you favor front braking more, and if you brake aggressively then it may wear off faster. Mine wears off roughly around the mentioned range. Usually before a long ride I always replace the brake pads (both front & rear).
  • Its only depend upon you use the bike, not miles. You can look up the brake pads and you'll see how thick/thin they are. So, you can decide to change or not.
  • Check your user manual, there it’s mentioned after how much wear you should change your brake pads.

    Long durations

For a sports category city commuter, It proved to be a good highway mile muncher as well.I know that the ergonomics is not at all comfortable in the first glance and it takes some getting used to but i am 5ft 9inches tall, With a bulk of 85kg and i have used this bike on daily commutes, Leisure rides, Highway touring.Heck i even did river crossings, Extreme terrain hooligan riding and that too with luggage. From my experience i can say that it may not be the best, But it sure can do anything you throw at it.All you need is confidence on your skills and trust on the engineering behind the bike. You can rip 110 - 120 kmph on highways for long durations and the engine is never stressed. While braking just grab the tank with your knee and your wrists will never feel the strain.Just change to motul 4t 7100 20w40 engine oil for best performance.

  • I have been into this site

I have been into this site for a month after my office for going through the reviews of r15s 2022.Mixed feedback were there.I wanted this bike for my choice as daily commuting in kolkata.I am 45 but still wanted this bike as it was yamaha r15s.Yo be very honest, I am into no pain in wrists or back although i workout at least in home everyday which is i think is necessary to tide r15s in a stylish way…it’s very smooth with corner movements are exceptional …i like it as it’s 1 month and i got a mileage of 40.But this bike is amazing on the roads.

    Class engine

Great looking bike with best in class engine, inbuilt quality & excellent riding stability. Gives an average of 40 to 47 kmpl based on city & highway rides. However not so friendly for touring purposes due to low positioned clip on handle bars, sporty riding position & harder seat. Good for daily commutes & short distance rides. Overall a very good entry segment sports bike from yamaha and a great value for money.

    Highway rides

A very good bike in 150cc. It has good engine power and performance, an entry-level sportbike. It is been 5 years that I have owned the vehicle. Given good mileage of 45-48kmpl in the city and on the highway rides can expect up to 50kmpl.
