The petrol variants can be had with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission but are only offered with a rear-wheel drivetrain. The Fortuner measures 4795 mm in length, 1855 mm in width and 1835 mm in height. It has a wheelbase measuring 2745 mm.

Rivals: The Toyota Fortuner locks horns with the MG Gloster and is a body-on-frame alternative to the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.

Variants: Toyota offers the Fortuner SUV in four broad trims: Standard, Legender, GR-S and Leader Edition. The Fortuner comes in seven different colours: the Platinum White Pearl, Super White, Avantgarde Bronze, Silver Metallic, Phantom Brown, Attitude Black and Sparkling Black.
