Skoda Superb Overview

Skoda India has re-launched the third-generation Superb at Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in a single Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim offered with the familiar 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that has been updated to meet BS6 Phase 2 norms. It features a new tan brown interior theme with 12-way electrically powered seats that come with massage functions and it also gets an updated 12-speaker Canton sound system. The relaunched Superb will be a fully imported unit and will be limited to 100 units.

The Skoda Superb is the Czech brand’s flagship offering in the Indian market. This is the third-generation of the sedan offered in India and while it was assembled in India earlier, Skoda has now re-launched the premium sedan as a fully imported model and availability for it is limited. Features: The Superb’s features list includes a 9.2-inch infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, a 10.2-inch digital driver’s display, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory, massage function for the driver seat, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, 3-zone climate control, connected car tech, 12 V power sockets, and keyless entry with push-button start/stop. Safety features include 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold control, brake assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera system, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Engine: The Skoda Superb is powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering 190 PS/ 320 Nm. It is available only with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. It has a length of 4869 mm, width of 1864 mm, height of 1503 mm and a wheelbase of 2841 mm.

Rivals: The Superb, at this price point, rivals the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 series, and is a pricier alternative to the Toyota Camry.

Variants: It is available in a single fully loaded Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim. Offered in 3 colors - Rosso Brunello, Water World Green, and Magic Black hue.
