Nissan Juke

Nissan has pulled the covers off the Juke SUV in India. It was showcased alongside two other SUVs, but unlike the two, the Juke was purely for display purpose only at the moment. It comes packing a strong-hybrid powertrain and sports curvy exterior elements giving it a quirky look. The Juke’s launch in India is unlikely any time soon, but if launched, it would go up in the heavily contested compact SUV space.

Nissan Juke Key Highlights

Features: Nissan offers the Juke with a seven-inch digital driver’s display, auto climate control, auto-dimming rear-view mirrors, 360-degree camera, premium Bose sound system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, and a touchscreen for infotainment control. Passenger safety is taken care of by up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill-hold assist, puncture repair kit, and a few ADAS features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring.

Engine: The Juke is powered using either an 114PS/200Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 1.6-litre strong-hybrid unit producing 143PS combined with the electric motor. Power is sent to the front wheels only irrespective of the powertrain selected.

Rivals: Nissan’s compact SUV will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.
