Back in May, Kymco launched its sporty maxi-scooter, the KRV 180 and now the Taiwanese brand has launched another maxi-scooter, called the DT X360. Unlike most models from Kymco’s maxi-scooter portfolio, the DT X360 claims to pack more than just on-road riding credentials.
The DT X360 uses a very sharp design language. Its LED DRLs are neatly packed in the front apron with the turn-indicators integrated at the edges. It also gets a small beak below the headlight.
The Kymco DT X360 uses a split instrument console. On the left, it displays the fuel level, tachometer, engine temperature and battery voltage. Meanwhile, the right side screen gets the speedometer, odometer, service interval check, ABS and the traction light.
Backing up its butch look is the fire power. You get a 320.6cc liquid-cooled motor with a claimed output of 28.2PS and 30Nm, putting a leash on which is a safety net comprising switchable traction control system and ABS.
It’s sprung by a conventional telescopic front fork and twin rear spring and the braking setup includes a front and rear disc brake. It rolls on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose rubber.
You get a 12.5-litre fuel tank and acres of underseat storage space. The DT X360 tips the scales at 194 kg and gets a seat height of 800mm.
It’s priced at EUR 6,000 (approximately Rs 5.18 lakh). That’s a lot of money, and considering the Kymco and 22 Motors conjunction was a failure, we doubt that the Taiwanese company would consider entering India again anytime soon. However, if you have a similar budget, check out Benelli TRK 502. And if you are smitten by maxi-scooters, check out the Yamaha Aerox 155.
