Yamaha has launched a new Chrome colour scheme of the Yamaha FZ-X and has priced it at Rs 1,39,700 (ex-showroom Delhi). The pricing makes the Chrome colour scheme the priciest one in the FZ-X lineup. Customers who are among the first 100 online bookings for the bike will receive a Casio G-Shock watch at the time of delivery of the bike. Also launched is the new Metallic Black colour option, priced at Rs 1,36,200 (ex-showroom Delhi).
In the Chrome colour scheme variant, the tank gets a glistening chrome treatment along with the headlight nacelle. The golden coloured wheels complement the overall look quite well. In the Metallic Black colour option, all the components get blacked-out treatment. Other than that, the bike has remained unchanged mechanically. As such, it is powered by the same 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 12.4PS and 13.3Nm.
Suspension setup consists of a 41mm telescopic fork and a monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by a 282mm front disc and 220mm rear disc brake with single-channel ABS. Features-wise, the bike comes equipped with an LCD instrument console and Bluetooth connectivity through the Y-Connect app. Its closest rivals are the Kawasaki W175 and the Keeway SR125.
