The Harrier facelift is due in 2024 and is likely to get an updated interior and exterior along with a new engine option

It is long since known that the Tata Harrier facelift is under development, thanks to multiple spy shots. Now, the Tata SUV was once again papped with some heavy camouflage. That said, we can still make out some interesting details from the spy images ahead of its expected launch, sometime in 2024

What’s new in the Tata Harrier Facelift?

It seems that the new Harrier will get the same styling updates as the recently launched Tata Nexon facelift. This means, the SUV could boast a more modern and sharper appeal, with new expected changes to the new split headlamps, sleek DRLs, revised front and rear bumpers and more. Sequential turn indicators were spotted on a previous occasion.

Tata could update the alloy design as well and the rear is likely to feature new tail lamps – with a connected lightbar signature as well.

Updates to the interiors

The upcoming Tata Harrier facelift could get all new interiors with a minimalist dashboard theme and new upholstery shades. Feature changes could include a new 10.25-inch touchscreen display, borrowed directly from the Nexon, and even the bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen seen on the Nexon EV. It is likely to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Harrier facelift will also continue to get ADAS features, a 360-degree camera, a fully digital driver’s instrument cluster, a large panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, powered driver seat with memory functions and more.

New Powertrain options

New 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine

The current Harrier is offered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine with both six-speed automatic and manual gearbox options. This unit develops 170 PS and 350 Nm. Tata might introduce a 170 PS/280 Nm 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine to expand the reach of the SUV, which could be paired to a DCT gearbox as well. This will enable customers preferring a petrol SUV to consider the Harrier as well.

With updated design, interiors as well as powertrain, the Harrier will take on the likes of the Toyota Hyryder, XUV700, Kia SeltosJeep Compass, and MG Hector.
