Apart from cloning original designs, China also happens to be the home to some of the most radical two-wheelers. For reference, this bone-stock Lifan KPV150 ADV scooter. It has been around for a while now but the company has now updated it with some minor tweaks.
It features the same rugged design as before but now gets a new swankier livery, which suits the scooter’s character better. The circular LED headlight looks quite distinctive and should easily draw eyeballs on the Lifan KPV150.
It’s powered by a 150cc liquid-cooled motor with the output rated at 12.23PS and 11.8Nm. For reference, the Hero XPulse 200 4V makes 19.1PS and 17.35Nm. Lifan has equipped it with a fully digital LCD cluster packing a speedometer, odometer, fuel level readout and other telltale details. Besides, the KPV 150 also gets a USB charging port.
It rides on a 37mm USD fork and rear monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware consists of a front and rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. The Lifan KPV rides on dual-purpose tyres wrapped around new aluminium spoked wheels. It gets a massive 11-litre fuel tank.
In China, the Lifan KPV150 is priced at CNY 15,820 (approximately Rs 1.78 lakh without taxes). That’s quite a desirable price tag. However, Lifan is unlikely to explore the Indian market anytime soon.
