Q. What is the function of hill assist - Dzire?

In bumper to bumper traffic in upward slope, (in bridge for example) you need to either use your hand break for the car to not go back, while you leave your break and move your foot to accelerate, or you can use half cluch technique which most seasoned driver use. But since automatic cars do not have cluch this option is not there in auto cars. Hill assist helps the car to not to go back after you leave break and before you accelerate. The car has sensors, it will go back if you keep your foot on break but do not break fully. (Hill assist are turned off if your foot is on break)Hill assist also applies on reverse climbing .

When you are in hilll you have to move your leg from brake to accelerator to push car forward in some case of traffic or starting car. While you do that car may roll back and touch car behind you. In manual transmission people will hold car with handbrake this function is taken care by hill assist.It will keep car at same place while you shift from brake to accelerator
