@ Poorvi | This guy is nuts. It can go kmph240+. This guy knows nothing about motorcycles, and his knowledge probably comes from gossiping amongst other kids of the colony. Gt650 is a cafe racer btw, not a cruiser. People put on lakhs of rs to maintain the spoked look and still get better performance from spoked wheeles, there’s a big bore kit that people use to convert it to 800cc+ and actually take it on a track day. Its a sports bike, and there is no doubt about it. I own both an rc390 as well as a gt650, and I approve my message, that this guy is a 2-bit nut.

I should say you are nuts and your talk looks like what you accuse of. Gt650 has redline rpm at 7500. I could not find the exact gear ratios but the current census is that the bike does 100km/h at 4200rpm at 6th gear. The max torque is at 5250 rpm. At this rpm your speed would be 125kmph. Considering that the max power is at 7250rpm, and you still push it to 7500 rpm in the 6th gear, the bike’s speed would be 178kmph. This would be the ideal speed to which you can push the bike because the entire power of the bike would go away in wind resistance and tyre friction leaving you at a constant 178. And again, all this can be done only with a flat road with no inclination. Let’s consider you go beyond redline and somehow touch 8000rpm. Then you could reach 190kmph. With all your bullshit, let’s say you are riding downhill and reach the max engine rpm of 9000rpm. The max you can reach is 214kmph. For your 240rpm, you must be going beyond the rpm limiter where the needle breaks off your gauge and ride the bike at 240+ kmph. One thing you can do though is change your front sprocket to a a bigger one, which is a real thing, and bring a higher gear ratio and bring in more speed, but I would be doubtful if the bike would have enough power to reach such speeds.please don’t come now to say you of course do that. By now we all know. So Come on man.. please don’t bullshit.

Gt or interceptor both are not made for top end speeds they are cruisers bike not sports bike just coz they are 650 cc people start compairing them to high performance sports bike this where people are dissapointed by re bike they are not meant for high speed top end they have spoke rims they start flexing at high speeds
