MG ZS EV Overview

The MG ZS EV now starts from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with an additional charge of Rs 4.5 per km for using the battery. As a part of the Battery-as-a-Service(BaaS) concept, you save Rs 4.99 lakh for the initial cost of purchase and pay a rental fee for the battery.

The MG ZS EV is an all-electric compact SUV and was the second product from MG Motor. It was launched in 2020 and received an update in 2022, which introduced a larger battery pack and improved its range. The ZS EV is a premium, well-equipped, and comfortable family car with a long range on offer.

MG ZS EV Key Highlights

Features: It comes with a feature-loaded cabin which includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver's display, automatic climate control, powered driver's seat, panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, and cruise control. In terms of safety, it is equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera; and a range of ADAS features, including blind spot warning, lane change assist, autonomous braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking assist.

Motor: The ZS EV is offered with a 176PS electric motor coupled with a 50.3kWh battery pack, providing a claimed range of 461km on a single charge. In terms of charging, a 7.4kW charger can recharge the battery from 0-100 percent in approximately 8.5 to 9 hours, while a 50kW fast charger can take it from 0-80 percent in just 1 hour. In terms of dimensions, the ZS EV measures 4323mm in length, 1809mm in width and 1649mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2585mm.

Rivals: The MG ZS EV rivals with the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric, while being a premium alternative to the Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 400.

Range: ZS EV can go upto 461 km/charge after a full charge.

Variants: The ZS EV is offered in three broad trims: Excite, Exclusive and Exclusive Pro. It is offered with four colour options: Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, Starry Black and Candy White.

Back seat bit narrow

MG ZS EV stands out with a perfect design for today's youth. this car has fulfilled all necessary features I want in my car. it gives an appreciable range of 460 km. the charging time is quite long around 8-9 hours. the boot space is also very large. however the interior is quite narrow and the seats feel to be narrow but it's comfortable for 2 passengers at back seat. the pricing of this car is quite high after seeing the performance and comfort level.
