Maruti Grand Vitara Key Highlights

Features: The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara packs a bunch of features including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, and wireless phone charging. Features like ventilated front seats, a digital driver’s display, a premium sound system, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) are limited to the strong-hybrid units. On the safety factor, the SUV packs up to six airbags, 360-degree with parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, hill-descent control, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Engine: The Maruti Grand Vitara is available with a 103PS 1.5-litre petrol engine or a 116PS self-charging strong hybrid powertrain. You also get the option of a CNG kit, which is paired with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine and a manual transmission only, but the output drops to 88PS and 121.5Nm. The Grand Vitara delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 27.97 kmpl depending on the engine you pick. The petrol engine is paired to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque automatic gearbox. The Toyota-sourced strong-hybrid powertrain is geared using an e-CVT automatic transmission. While front-wheel drive is standard, the naturally aspirated petrol engine can be had with optional all-wheel drive. Maruti’s compact SUV is 4345mm long, 1795 mm wide, and 1645mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2600mm.

Rivals: The Grand Vitara rivals the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Variants: The Maruti Grand Vitara’s mild hybrid powertrain is available in four trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The strong-hybrid powertrain is offered in two higher-end trims: Zeta+ and Alpha+. It is offered in seven single colour options: Celestial Blue, Arctic White, Cave Black, Grandeur Grey, Chestnut Brown, Opulent Red and Splendid Silver. Dual-tone finish can be had with the Arctic White, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver hues.
