Mahindra Thar ROXX Overview

Official bookings for the Mahindra Thar Roxx are now open. Deliveries for the off-roader will begin on October 12, 2024. The Thar Roxx is available in six variants, and comes with petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol is available only with the RWD system, while the latter can be had with an optional 4WD system as well. The Thar Roxx is more than an extended model and boasts plenty of premium amenities. Recently, Mahindra also revealed a darker interior theme for the Thar Roxx, which can be had with the four-wheel drive variants.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is a 5-door lifestyle off-roader SUV that gets butch looks, premium features and impressive off-road capabilities.

Mahindra Thar ROXX Key Highlights

Features: The 5 door Mahindra Thar Roxx offers premium features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon sound system, a wireless phone charger, keyless entry, cruise control, and ventilated front seats. In terms of safety, it gets a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-descent control, front and rear parking sensors, and ADAS features.

Engine: The Mahindra Thar Roxx is offered with two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel. Both engines get the option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The 2-litre turbo petrol produces 162 PS/ 330 Nm with the manual and 177 PS/ 380 Nm with the automatic. The diesel is available in two tunes: a lower tune which produces 152 PS and 330 Nm and a higher tune which is available only with the automatic and makes 175 PS and 370 Nm. The four-wheel drive can only be had with the 2.2-litre diesel powertrain. The Thar Roxx measures 4,428mm in length, 1870mm in width, and 1923mm in height. It sits on a 2850mm wheelbase.

Rivals: The Mahindra Thar Roxx’s immediate rival is the Force Gurkha 5-door. It also competes with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
