Kia Seltos

Kia has launched the Seltos Gravity edition with prices ranging from Rs 16.63 lakh to Rs 18.21 lakh (ex-showroom). It is placed above the higher-spec HTX variant and is available in three colour options: Glacial White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, and Dark Gun Metal (Matte). The exterior features 17-inch alloy wheels, a gloss black rear spoiler, and a ‘Gravity’ badge on the front doors. The interior additionally gets a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a premium Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, an electronic parking brake and a dash cam over the HTX variant. It is available with the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol is available with both manual and automatic options, while the diesel comes with a manual gearbox only.

Features: The Kia Seltos gets a well-equipped cabin with features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charger, multi-colour ambient lighting, a powered driver’s seat,panoramic sunroof, heads-up display and ventilated front seats. In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold and level-2 ADAS features.

Engine: The Kia Seltos comes with multiple engine options. It gets a 115 PS/144 Nm 1.5-litre petrol and a 116 PS/250 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options include a standard 6-speed manual, a CVT for the petrol, and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic and 6-speed iMT for the diesel unit. It also gets a more potent 160 PS/253 Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which can be had with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). It measures 4365 mm in length, 1800 mm in width and 1645 mm in height. It sits on a 2610 mm long wheelbase.

Rivals: The Kia Seltos rivals the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun as well as midsize SUVs such as the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and the five seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700.

Variants: The Kia Seltos is available in three broad trims: Tech Line, GT Line. and X-Line. These trims further branch out to HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, Gravity Edition, GTX, GTX+ (S), GTX+, X-Line (S), and X-Line variants It is offered in eight montone shades: Pewter Olive , Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Intense Red, and Imperial Blue. It can also be had in an Xclusive Matte Graphite which is limited to the X-Line trim. There are two dual tone shades: Intense Red and Glacier White with Aurora Black Pearl hue for the roof.
