Kawasaki has relaunched the Z900RS in India and it comes at an eye-watering price! More details in our launch story.

Its Z900-derived 948cc inline-four engine makes 111PS and 98.5Nm, 14PS and 0.1Nm less than the Z. Underpinnings include an inverted fork along with a monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by dual 300mm discs at the front and a 250mm one at the rear. Interestingly, the Z900RS gets radial calipers, something that the sportier Z900 surprisingly misses out on.. The 17-inch wheels are shod with a 120-section tyre at the front and a 180-section one at the rear.

At Rs 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Z900RS is definitely one expensive proposition. It isn’t helped by the fact that the Triumph Bonneville T100 (Rs 9.69 lakh) and the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 (Rs 11.09 lakh) both prices ex-showroom, are both a whole lot less expensive while exuding equally good neo-retro vibes.
