Honda City Hybrid Overview

Honda has launched the facelifted fifth-generation City with prices starting from Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. The updated compact sedan gets a price bump of up to Rs 50,000. The Hybrid City now gets a new V trim.

The facelift brings minor updates to the styling, a new exterior hue, while features like ADAS have been borrowed from the City Hybrid. It continues with the existing 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, but the 1.5-litre diesel unit has been chucked from the lineup. Both the petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains have been updated to meet the upcoming more stringent RDE emission norms.

Honda City Hybrid Key Highlights

Features: The City Hybrid features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, electric sunroof, and connected car tech with smart watch integration. New features on the 2023 Hybrid City include a wireless phone charger, rain-sensing wipers, and a cabin air filter. Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and Honda Sensing ADAS systems such as automatic high beam assist, road departure mitigation system, and collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

Engine: Under the hood of the hybrid sedan is a 1.5-litre petrol unit (98PS/127Nm) along with an electric motor with a peak output of 109PS and 253Nm. They combine together to give an output of 126PS/253Nm which is delivered to the wheels using an e-CVT automatic gearbox. It has a claimed mileage of 27.13kmpl. The powertrain has been updated to be compliant with the upcoming RDE norms.

Rivals: It has no immediate adversary in India, but its price tag positions it with the 1.5-litre TSI variants of the Skoda Slavia and the Volkswagen Virtus.

Variants: The City Hybrid is offered in two trim: V and ZX. Exterior hue options include six shades: Obsidian Blue Pearl (New), Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic

Most efficienct car ever

I can very confidently say that the Honda City Hybrid is the most efficient car. This car offers a great mileage of 27 kmpl which far more than any other car i have driven. With a smooth automatic transmission this car offers an effortless driving experience. This car also has taken me to the top speeds of 176 kmph.

best qualities in car segment

The Honda City Hybrid appeals to me much. Both fashionable and environmentally sustainable is this automobile. The grille is big and the headlamps are sharp on the sleek outside appearance. Driving on the highways and in cities is both possible with this automobile. The Honda City Hybrid is a really pleasant car indoors. There is enough of room for five persons and the chairs are nicely padded. A large touchscreen for navigation and entertainment graces the contemporary dashboard. Good head and leg room is available in the back seats. Excellent is the ride quality of the City Hybrid. It drives on any kind of road with great smoothness. Its extremely efficient fuel consumption thanks to the hybrid technology saves money on gasoline. The vehicle has many airbags and ABS, among other extremely safe features. All things considered, the Honda City Hybrid is a terrific vehicle for anybody seeking a fashionable and environmentally responsible automobile.

Stylish and decent

This sedan has a great look with a lots of features and excellent safety features, it lacks some premium features and less boot space. The most technologically advanced sedan the Honda City Hybrid has excellent highway stability and is a fantastic fuel efficient sedan.

Drive with the Honda City Hybrid

Last month I bought Honda City hybrid after long discussion with my brother. My brother suggest me this because he also heard the same car and is very happy with his purchase. He told me that this Honda City has outstanding fuel efficiency and after buying this I can also say the same. Thanks to its hybrid setup I felt seamless smooth transmission between petrol and debt power. The boot space is also really good and more than enough for 4 or 5 member family trip.
