Q. This or CBR 650F? Could u pls recommend which to go with in terms of reliability, ease of maintenance, minimal track riding and a bit of touring. Also the availability of parts. Although I had the opportunity to test ride the GSX S750 which was brilliant, could not get a test ride for almost 6 months for the CBR 650F. So finding it hard to decide. Do not want to make a wrong decision.
  • Seriously :D, honda is honda, it is also low maintainence with quality hardware and ride
  • Always go for Suzuki it has low maintenance
Q. Can I use it for leh trip from Kolkata - CBR650F?
  • Ofcourse
Q. Is it for touring like Honda 650 - GSX S750?
  • I own one a do not recommend it for touring. Its for pure fun of short distance riding (max 2-3 hrs) on an weekend morning. Its better within city confines or closed tracks as there is no wind protection and headwinds can be very tiring to negotiate on the wrong side of 120 kph. But the four cylinder engine is a gem with a slick shifting gear box. There are very few bikes where you can find the neutral so easily. You can also feel power being delivered almost till 11000 rpm before red-lining at 11.5k. I would have loved a touring version of this bike due to the nature of the engine that can pull effortlessly from 70 kph with great acceleration in 6th gear. It is also rideable at 60kph in 5th gear inside city with enough reserve available for quick overtaking without a gear change. You can try installing handle bar raisers, a better seat, a big wind screen and couple of panniers for short touring on tarmac.
  • It is any time better than honda 650 , right from comfort to mileage
