Honda Activa 125 Latest Updates
The Honda Activa 125 serves as the larger 125cc counterpart to the iconic 110cc Activa. Powered by a 124cc single-cylinder engine that generates 8.3PS and 10.3Nm, its pricing begins at Rs 79,806 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Honda Activa 125 Key Highlights
Price: The pricing for the Honda Activa 125 begins at Rs 79,806 for the standard drum variant. The drum alloy and disc trims are priced at Rs 83,474 and Rs 86,979, respectively. The top-tier H-Smart variant comes with a price tag of Rs 88,979 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Features: The Activa 125 gets several notable features like the external fuel-filler cap, a first for Honda scooters. The higher trims (alloy and DLX) feature a digital inset alongside the traditional analogue speedometer, offering additional information like real-time and average mileage indicators, as well as a distance-to-empty indicator. It also gets an Alternator Current Generator (ACG) starter that eliminates the conventional starter motor, resulting in quieter starts. The standard and alloy trims come with an engine-kill switch, while the deluxe trim is equipped with the idling stop system, similar to the i3S technology found in Hero scooters. This system helps in conserving fuel while the scooter is being ridden on roads with stop-go traffic. Additionally, the deluxe and alloy trims have a standard side-stand engine cut-off switch, with the option to add it to the standard variant. The top-tier H-Smart variant features a Smart Key fob, allowing users to lock/unlock the handlebar, seat, and fuel tank cap without using the physical key. The fob also enables flashing the indicators to locate the scooter in a parking lot.
Engine: The Activa 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor that makes 8.30PS and 10.4Nm.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: On the alloy variant (with front disc or drum), you get the same 12-inch alloy rims, while the base variant gets regular steel rims. A telescopic fork and three-step preload-adjustable monoshock continue their duties on the Activa 125. The front disc brake is found only in the deluxe variant as the other two make use of a front drum brake. A 130mm rear drum unit remains constant across the board.
Rivals: The Honda Activa 125 rivals the likes of the Suzuki Access 125, Hero Destini 125, Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid and TVS Jupiter 125.

Activa 125 Expert's Conclusion
If you're looking for a 125cc commuter scooter that excels in enjoyable city rides and offers a comfortable riding experience, the Honda Activa 125 is a very good option to consider.
Honda Activa 125 Expert Review
The Honda Activa 125 is the bigger capacity sibling of the iconic 110cc Activa. Let's check out whether it lives up to the expectations:
Design
Stylistically, the scooter has the classic Activa design language. But the body panels look beefier, and get more cuts and creases, ensuring its own identity.
Also, the apron includes various chrome elements at the center, adding some premium look to the front. Thick chrome highlights on the sides and a slightly longer grab rail highlight the scooter's overall premium feel. The rear turn indicators are vertically elongated with a chrome strip. It's worth mentioning that Honda has tastefully applied chrome elements without overdoing it.
While the Activa 125's appearance doesn't look like something entirely groundbreaking, Honda has successfully made a design with broad appeal. The Activa's strength lies in its balanced and attractive design, along with excellent build quality and fit-and-finish throughout. Consistent panel gaps and high-quality switchgear make sure the scooter stands out within its price range.
Engine, Performance & Mileage
The Activa 125 is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.3PS and 10.4Nm. Unlike high-performance scooters such as the TVS NTorq or Aprilia SR125, it prioritises efficiency over speed.
The engine is a relaxed one, so acceleration feels a little sluggish. Throttle response could have been sharper too. However, where it shines is the refinement. It’s free of vibrations at all speeds, ensuring a calming riding experience. Additionally, the silent starter along with the stop-start system work really well. In fact, these aspects keep the Activa a step ahead in its segment.
Ride & Handling
The Activa prioritises comfort in its suspension rather than sharp handling abilities. The telescopic fork and rear monoshock are tuned to be soft, ensuring a smooth ride on various rough roads with minimal bumps, especially when riding solo. However, with a passenger on board, the scooter can feel nervous over bumps, and isn’t very confidence-inspiring on uneven roads or speed breakers.
The Activa 125 feels very light and can be easily handled in city traffic, despite its 110kg kerb weight. The soft suspension, contributing to its comfort, does make it a bit twitchy when navigating sharp corners. This is acceptable as the Activa is primarily designed to be a capable and comfortable family scooter.
In terms of braking sharpness, the Activa, equipped with disc brakes, performed exceptionally well in our tests. The brake feel is precise, allowing for accurate control.
Comfort:
Since its debut, the Honda Activa 125 has consistently gotten comfortable seats. The rider benefits from ample space, and the seat itself is soft, providing a relaxing feel during short city commutes. The riding posture is neutral, and the floorboard offers sufficient room for most laptop bags. However, the slightly low handlebars may be problematic for taller riders and they may feel uncomfortable at their thighs during U-turns. Additionally, the soft seat could lead to discomfort if ridden for long.
As for the pillion seat, there's more than enough space, accommodating even larger riders comfortably. The rear footpegs are positioned for a relaxed leg posture. Pillions will appreciate the plush rear seat for short journeys, but the softness may be a bit of an issue during extended periods of sitting.
Features
The Activa 125 is equipped with the 'Idling Stop System,' automatically turning off the engine at traffic lights or similar situations. Simply twisting the throttle restarts the engine. It also features a side stand engine cut-off function, an LED headlamp, external fuel lid, and a semi-digital instrument console with a digital inset providing information on mileage and distance-to-empty, among other details.
The H-Smart variant comes equipped with Honda's range of 'Smart' features, allowing you to unlock the scooter without a physical key and automatically locking it after 20 seconds of inactivity. It enables engine start without using the key and comes with a smart key fob, among other functionalities. More importantly, Honda should’ve equipped the Activa with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation as that would’ve really improved the convenience.
Should You Buy The Honda Activa 125?
For those seeking a 125cc commuter scooter, the Honda Activa 125 is a good choice. While the engine may not be sporty, it provides ample power for enjoyable city rides and is extremely smooth. This, along with its premium design, comfortable ride quality and a decent set of features, makes the Honda Activa 125 stand out as a good choice in the 125cc segment.

3.8I'll get straight to the
I'll get straight to the point by stating some pros and cons of my activa 125 which i bought in january 2022.Pros:1.Engine is very refined.Performance gets better as you notch up more kms in your odo2.Parts are easily available in many workshop garages with plenty of mechanics already experienced in repairing honda activas from the past years.A very trusted mechanic of mine says that honda activas are easiest to repair with less to no hassle in finding parts.3.Low maintenance cost.4.Good body built quality 5.Might not have the best acceleration compared to other scootys in this range but it sure does have a lot of strength riding uphill even while carrying passenger.Cons:1.Does not have the best suspension, Gets bumpy unnecessarily which is also one of the reason i say the scooty has good body built quality cos if it were some other scooty, I'd have heard new creaks and sounds emerging from the body.Only one slight problem is that both the front and rear brake levers has become loose which creates rattling sound due to vibration as the scooty accelerates from idle speed or when it gets bumpy. No negative affect on brake performance though.2.Average mileage- it currently gives 44.3kmpl and i drive mostly on city roads.3.Led headlights could've been better4.Cabin space is average, Not small but definitely average.5.Other brands are giving much more advanced features at same or lower prices like usb charging, Cabin light. Conclusion: even with a less powerful acceleration and absence of additional features like usb charging etc.I still opted for honda activa 125 despite knowing all it's shortcomings because there is no scooty that has an engine which is as refined as it, Nor the reliability. You will get other scootys that has better like with more loaded features as the same price range or even lower but so far, I don't think there is any other scooty in the same price range that has a better engine or a more reliable product quality a honda activa offers.Cheers!.

Honda activa 125 FI BS6Driving
Honda activa 125 fi bs6 driving is very smooth, Good road grip.Disc brakes are much better than drum brakes.Mileage in city limits can be up to 48 kmpl.Suspension is good.Pick up is better than 110cc models.Build quality of metal parts is ok.Particularly fuel tank lid is worst quality.Anyone can break it easily. After sales service is worst in bangalore. No one cares about customer.Maintainance cost is high. You can't get it serviced at local garage. It is built such that customer must go to service centre for even very small problem. You won't get small parts. If tail lamp glass is broken, You need to replace entire set.Sometimes you may feel buying new scooter is cheaper than service.Accessories are not of good quality.Particularly guard.Battery will have frequent trouble. It won't last for 3 years also.Tata power battery given with scooter is very expensive and not up to the mark.If battery is weak, You won't get even headlights.Whatever premium features are given, They work only if battery is in full power.Overall worst after sales service.Mobile charger, Inner box could have been provided at this much expensive scooter.Overall a costly thing to own.

- Both the scooters are good in their own forte. Overall, at Destini’s price point, the 110cc scooters offer better practicality inside the city with better storage, more features, and are more comfortable as well. The reason to pick the Destini over the 110’s is its impressive performance and its ability to carry a load or a pillion inside the city with ease. On the other hand, the Honda Activa 125 BS6 does everything the previous scooter did and builds on it. In terms of practicality, comfort and reliability, few come as close as the Activa 125. It might not be thrilling to ride but with an extensive feature list, the Activa 125 ticks all the boxes of a family-oriented 125cc scooter. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
