Hero Passion XTEC Latest Updates
The Hero Passion Xtec is the flagship bike under Hero’s Passion range. Currently, it is also the only 110cc Hero bike in India on sale. The Xtec variant comes with a list of geeky features for better convenience.
Hero Passion XTEC Key Highlights
Price: The Hero Passion Xtec comes in two variants. The base drum variant costs Rs 81,038. On the other hand, the disc version costs Rs 85,438 (both ex-showroom Delhi).
Design: The Hero Passion Xtec comes with youthful colours that go well with the sporty bodywork. The headlight cowl is complemented by the beefy tank extensions. The side panels and tail section, meanwhile, look neat and elegant.
Features: The Hero Passion Xtec comes with a projector LED headlight (segment first). Additionally, it also gets a full-LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. The console shows the mileage, missed call alert along with caller ID, SMS alert, fuel level, along with other tell-tale lights. There’s no turn-by-turn navigation but Hero offers a USB charging port as standard.
Engine: Powering the Hero Passion Xtec is a 113.2cc air-cooled fuel-injected BS6.2-compliant single-cylinder engine making 9.15PS and 9.79Nm. The engine is paired to a 4-speed gearbox. Underpinnings include a 30mm telescopic fork and a pair of preload-adjustable rear shock absorbers. The bike comes to a halt using a 240mm disc up front and a 130mm drum at the rear. However, the drum brake-equipped variant comes with a 130mm drum up front as well. At 10 litres, the fuel tank capacity is pretty decent, and the bike gets a 799mm tall seat. The 180mm ground clearance is generous too. It rolls on 18-inch alloys wrapped with tubeless 80/100-section tyres at both ends.
Rivals: Rivals of the Hero Passion Pro include the Honda Livo, Bajaj Platina 110, and the TVS Star City Plus. Other alternatives in the same price bracket include the Hero Super Splendor, Bajaj CT 125X and the Honda Activa 6G.
Variants: The Hero Passion Pro comes in two variants, which are quite similar in terms of looks and mechanicals, except for one aspect: the brakes. As the name suggests, the drum brake variant comes with a 130mm front drum whereas the disc variant gets a 240mm disc up front. Both bikes use a 130mm drum at the rear.

Hero Passion XTEC Expert Review
Overview
The Hero Passion range is known to be a more premium, sporty-looking sibling of the iconic Splendor range. In its latest avatar, the Hero Passion Xtec is a feature-loaded 110cc commuter from Hero. It is also the only 110cc bike from the Indian bikemaker. With generational updates over the years, here’s how it fares in the modern times:
Design:
The Hero Passion Xtec is a fantastic looking motorcycle for its class, thanks to the sporty bodywork and elegant graphics and colour schemes. The design has been revised considerably in its BS6 iteration, and it has worked well in keeping the bike up to date.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
The 113.2cc single-cylinder engine churns out a humble 9.15PS and 9.79Nm. It offers a great mid-range grunt and the torque comes in earlier in the rev range, ensuring peppy performance. Even the gearing is tall, allowing you to sustain 60-70kmph on the highway in a fuss-free manner. The taller gear ratios also have a positive effect on the mileage. In our real-world mileage test, the Hero Passion Xtec returned 68.2kmpl in the city and 70kmpl on the highway. That said, the engine refinement could have been better, and so is the gear shift feel, particularly in the lower gears, while moving in slow traffic.
Handling & Ride Quality
The telescopic fork and the twin preload-adjustable shock absorbers do a great job at keeping most of the road imperfections at bay. Equipped with a diamond frame, the bike handles well in the city, and is nimble enough to snake through traffic, despite the 118kg kerb weight. The bite and progressions from the brakes are pretty good but the lever feel could’ve been better.
Comfort
The riding position is upright and is comfortable for the city. Though the seat is soft, it tends to sink in while riding for extended hours, so long-distance riding isn’t as comfortable as commuting in the city. At 799mm, the seat is tall but the narrow profile makes it fairly easy to get on and off the bike for riders of most heights. However, if you’re 5’6” or below, you might end up tip-toeing.
Features
The Hero Passion Xtec comes with a proper projector LED headlight, a segment first. Hero has also thrown in a full-LCD instrument cluster, that too with Bluetooth connectivity. It gets a call/SMS reminder with caller ID display, mileage indicator, fuel gauge, trip meters, along with the regular set of information. It also gets i3S technology, which turns off the motor when it idles in traffic, and turns it back on with the pull of the clutch lever.
Should you buy the Hero Passion Xtec?
If you’re looking for a well-balanced 110cc commuter bike that comes with a great features list, is peppy enough for city commutes, and also manages to grab attention. It excels at what it’s meant for - city riding, and then manages to offer more - with commendable highway mileage.

Good Bike
It's a good design, the Suspension is great if adjusted for the softer side, the Pickup is good as a 110cc bike, and the Servicing is very pocket-friendly, I rode this bike 210km in a single day and 620km in 4 days with a pillion, Very much satisfied, Good for highway and even hills and Indian roads, Balance is good, Mileage more than 60. I3S doesn't work most of the time(not an issue with the clutch sensor), and the Gear system is very bad for the traffic you have to keep shifting all the time. The headlight throws are insufficient but okay in this segment, Cannot carry luggage in the handlebar it will scratch the tank flappers1heavily, Cannot install a hook on the cushion assembly cause it is hidden under fiber parts, Paint quality is bad (can better even in this segment), I will never recommend this bike for crowded cities, But I must recommend it for highway and off roads. The torque in lower gears is great it can go uphill in 2nd gear carrying nearly 1200 kg very smoothly which is great for a 110cc motorcycle. Required improvement: the company should add a PVC square water guard in front of the engine Only costs 100/- after market, The paint on the clutch lever, Brake lever, and Grabrails will fade away fast, and Metal catches rust within a year.

Passion pro
I decided to buy a passion pro last year as my uncle in village has been having it for a few years now and i liked the ride especially it is tall and its suspension. However, I have to say i made a bad decision. The bike switches off frequently in low speeds. There has not been a single ride in the last year when it did not switch off at least once.I do only 2 to 7 kms ride utmost everyday.I checked with two others in my apartment who have bought the same bike within the last one year and they have the exact same complaint and same frustration.I tried to find some patterns on when it goes off but unfortunately could not.It needs 100% precision in handling the clutch and gear which does not allow you to think any but this while riding.Riding is not pleasure anymore. Also the gear shifting is noisy and not smooth.Passion pro used to be good but not the versions we get now.Don't waste your money on this bike as i am already thinking of selling it off.

Hero Passion Xtec A Commuter's Technological Compa
My full riding mate for standard commutes and megacity sorties is the idol Passion Xtec. This 110cc motorbike, priced at ₹ 73,990, is the ideal combination of functionality and faculty. A comfortable lift across the megacity is guaranteed by the commodious seating arrangement and plenitude of head and legroom. With an startling 65 km/ l of avail, it's provident and energy-effective. The lift is fashionable and a great option for megacity Roads because to its satiny and coincidental Expression. It's the full megacity bike because to its well- allowed - out innards, which prioritizes freight and functionality. The idol Passion Xtec is further than precisely a motorbike for those appearing for a reliable and fashionable accompaniment for standard commutes and megacity passages; it's a clever and accessible expressway to fluently navigate the metropolises.
