- Both the cars are good in their forte. Thar looks modern with tweaked styling and improved interiors. The drivetrain includes petrol, diesel and automatic options. 4x4 is standard. Washable interiors are a nice touch. The Thar's appeal and promise to take you on great adventures is a big draw but living with it every day will still ask you to make many compromises. As a second car or for those who just need the utility of the 4x4 the Thar’s appeal is undeniable. On the other hand, Gurkha's old-school design, comfortable seating for four, pliant low-speed ride, surprisingly easy to drive in the city, and refined engine. - Selecting between the Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6 and Mahindra Marazzo would depend on certain factors such as your preference of the brand, usage, cabin space, fuel type, etc. The Mahindra Marazzo has carved out a nice niche for itself, right between the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta. It’s a pukka 7- /8-seater and has all the goodies a modern family would require. Sure, it isn’t a driver’s delight, but that’s hardly something that’s expected from an MPV anyway.
