BYD Atto 3 Overview

BYD India has extended the introductory prices of Atto 3’s base-spec Dynamic variant to mark 11 years of their India operations. The base variant launched in July 2024 will continue to cost Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a smaller 49.92 kWh battery pack with an ARAI-claimed range of up to 468 km. The Atto 3 is also available in other variants, prices of which go up to Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

BYD Atto 3 Key Highlights

Features: The Atto 3 is equipped with features like a panoramic sunroof, digital driver’s display, powered tailgate, powered front seats, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, an eight-speaker sound system, and a wireless phone charger. When it comes to safety, the Atto 3 is equipped with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill-descent control, a 360-degree camera and a bunch of driver’s assistance features like forward collision prevention, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring.

Motor: The BYD Atto 3 is powered by a single electric motor that delivers an output of 204 PS and 310 Nm. The electric motor is mated with either a 49.92 kWh battery pack (base variant) or a larger 60.48 kWh battery pack. The smaller battery pack offers an ARAI-claimed range of 468 km while the larger battery pack has an ARAI-claimed range of 521 km. The base variant uses a 70 kW DC fast charger to juice up from 0 to 80% in 50 minutes while the mid and top spec variant is compatible with an 80 kW DC fast charger which also has the same charging time. The electric SUV has a boot space of 440 litres and measures 4,455mm in length, 1,875mm in width and 1,615mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2,720mm.

Range: It has an ARAI-claimed range of 468-521km on a full charge.

Variants: The BYD Atto 3 is available in three trims: Dynamic, Premium and Superior. It gets 4 colours to choose from: Cosmos Black, Ski White, Boulder Grey and Surf Blue.

The BYD Atto 3 is the best electric car i have ever driven. This car has a great 5 star NCAP safety rating. This beauty can travel upto a distance of 521 km with a full charge. The estimated time for its charging is a bit on the longer side, around 10 hours.

My BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is outstanding. It looks contemporary and sleek. The Rs 33 lakh pricing is good for an electric SUV with its amenities. The automobile has a great range of 420 km per charge. Top safety features include numerous airbags, ABS, and modern driver aid systems. Interior is roomy and opulent, with comfy seats and a high-tech multimedia system. The vehicle charges easily and travels nicely on all routes. More fast-charging stations could help. As a dependable and beautiful electric SUV, I highly recommend my BYD Atto 3.

BYDs blade battery is one of the most advanced battery technologies in the world and the interior is damn cool and Byd is king of electric car. The solid build quality makes it a great substitute for many expensive and luxurious cars and this electric SUV has an excellent driving range with a sleek and modern interior with excellent finishing, and a beautiful dashboard. It has excellent modern features and is among the safest electric cars available but this electric SUV lacks a proper network in India.

BYD Atto 3 - A Surprising Electric Delight

Recently, I had the chance to drive the BYD Atto 3 on a family visit to Agra. With its around 60 kWh battery, this electric car gave me an impressive range of approximately 450 km. The torque of 310 Nm was more than adequate for maintaining a good pace on the Yamuna Expressway.The interiors were a pleasant surprise. The spacious cabin and comfortable seats made the journey quite pleasant. The 12.8 inch rotating touch screen infotainment kept everyone engaged.We had to search to find a fast charging station, which can be stressful.
