Bajaj Pulsar RS200

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the costliest bike in the bikemaker’s Pulsar lineup and the only fully faired offering from Bajaj. The motorcycle hasn’t received any significant updates since it was launched in 2015, except for the inclusion of dual-channel ABS, and new colour schemes. But it becomes a hard task to justify its price, as the bike misses out on modern features while the competitors have been evolving continuously.

The Bajaj RS200, despite being one of the most popular Pulsars, feels ignored and forgotten by Bajaj as the bike hasn’t received any major update in years, except for dual-channel ABS. Design

The aggressive fully faired styling of the Pulsar RS200 looks spot-on, and may be the reason that the bike has remained unchanged since its launch in 2015. The fairing also enhances the bike’s aerodynamics. The twin projector headlights, sporty tank, split seats, and short exhaust collectively add to its bold and aggressive appearance.

Engine, Mileage & Performance

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is powered by a 199.5 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivers 24.5 PS and 18.7 Nm, mated with a six-speed gearbox. The engine is pretty smooth and powerful as it is derived from the KTM 200 series. Yes, it was developed as a result of the KTM-Bajaj partnership in India.

Handling & Ride Quality

The Pulsar RS200 is a compact and sporty motorcycle that handles well whether you are filtering through traffic or taking on corners. Its perimeter frame and sporty suspension setup make it feel agile in the city and planted on the highway. 

The ride quality is good, providing a mix of sporty handling and comfort.

Comfort

The Pulsar RS200 despite its sporty stance, provides a rather comfortable ride. It provides a more relaxed riding posture compared to the other sport bikes in the market, thanks to the raised clip-on handlebar and rear-set footpegs.

The Pulsar RS200 features comfortable split seats that allow you to tour for longer hours without getting too tired. The pillion rider enjoys a comfortable seating position, though the lack of grab rails can make longer rides a little unpleasant.
