The motorcycle hasn’t received any significant updates since it was launched in 2015, except for the inclusion of dual-channel ABS, and new colour schemes. But it becomes a hard task to justify its price, as the bike misses out on modern features while the competitors have been evolving continuously.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Pros and Cons

Pulsar RS200 Advantages

Rev-happy engine, comfortable riding position, high-end performance.

Pulsar RS200 Disadvantages

Dated styling and features, lacks the finesse of its rivals, and reliability in the long run an issue.

Pulsar RS200 Expert's Conclusion

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 BS6 is quick, handles nicely, and is well suited for daily use. It's also kinder on the environment and easier on the eyes though we still won’t call it pretty. With competition stepping up the game, the Pulsar RS200 needs an overhaul rather than an update.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Expert Review

The Bajaj RS200, despite being one of the most popular Pulsars, feels ignored and forgotten by Bajaj as the bike hasn’t received any major update in years, except for dual-channel ABS. The Pulsar RS200’s sporty and distinctive looks make it a unique pick and is probably one of the reasons why the Pulsar RS200 is popular among youngsters.

Design

The aggressive fully faired styling of the Pulsar RS200 looks spot-on, and may be the reason that the bike has remained unchanged since its launch in 2015. The fairing also enhances the bike’s aerodynamics. The twin projector headlights, sporty tank, split seats, and short exhaust collectively add to its bold and aggressive appearance.

Engine, Mileage & Performance

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is powered by a 199.5 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivers 24.5 PS and 18.7 Nm, mated with a six-speed gearbox. The engine is pretty smooth and powerful as it is derived from the KTM 200 series. Yes, it was developed as a result of the KTM-Bajaj partnership in India.

Handling & Ride Quality

The Pulsar RS200 is a compact and sporty motorcycle that handles well whether you are filtering through traffic or taking on corners. Its perimeter frame and sporty suspension setup make it feel agile in the city and planted on the highway.

The ride quality is good, providing a mix of sporty handling and comfort.

Comfort

The Pulsar RS200 despite its sporty stance, provides a rather comfortable ride. It provides a more relaxed riding posture compared to the other sport bikes in the market, thanks to the raised clip-on handlebar and rear-set footpegs.

The Pulsar RS200 features comfortable split seats that allow you to tour for longer hours without getting too tired. The pillion rider enjoys a comfortable seating position, though the lack of grab rails can make longer rides a little unpleasant.

Features

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 features a semi-digital instrument console and has all LED lights including dual projector headlights. It also comes with a backlit switchgear and dual-channel ABS as standard.

Should You Buy the Bajaj Pulsar RS200?

The Pulsar RS200 is a great option for those who are looking to buy a sporty motorcycle with a powerful engine. If you want a bike that is visually striking and performs well in both city and highway conditions, the RS200 is the one for you.

    Questions asked

In terms of pickup there is no questions asked in this 200 cc segment, Sitting posture much more good as compared to other sports bike like r15 or rc 200.The most interesting thing and bad thing is the overdone body. Some time it will just make you "fida" but not that aerodynamic like r15 due to that overdone bosy only.Bike is heavy but the throttle is sufficient enough to pull you back in case of a sudden gas through.Over all performance is good but keep in mind this is a bajaj product hence for sure you have to face changes in sound year on year. There is no healing for that.Mileage is bit low (mine one is bs3) however bs4 & 6 are better in terms of mileage. And after 5-6 years with a bs3 rs200 you cannot expect more than 27 kmpl mileage in city. But if you are an enthusiastic person of raw engine in a 200 or 250 cc sports segment. Then rs 200 will be the best as per my assumption.Build quality is much more better as compared to other sports bike in this segment.Unlike r15, You cannot say this a plastic ka dabba.😂😂.Rs 200 doesnot have soo much of features as compared to latest launching bikes but in terms of comfort, Speed and looks it can simply hide its engine capacity and is capable show itself as a bigger one.Sales ans service is a smooth point in bajaj showrooms but you need to understand the things else they will tell you to change everything.Dont expect they will repair anything.Thay are only trained to change parts. This was my personal experience with some limited showrooms and pointing to every showrooms. Some of they may be good in terms of service but i haven't got anything such yet.Last but not the least, If you are thinking for a heavy, Bulky, And powerful engine in 200 segment. Then close your eys.Say ok google/hey siri and ask to find a bajaj showroom nearby and to start the direction from your location.Mine one is yellow, The most gorgeous color ever in rs200 but unfortunately they stopped this legendary color.

  • I am owning an Pulsar Rs200

I am owning a Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 for the last six years. The one word I'll say about this raw machine is ' best ' the one quote will be ' strength but adorable and affordable. Pros: 1. Performance - top speed 150+ which is exciting and feels stable. 2. Economy - if you drive this beast at 70-80km/hr, It will definitely give not less than 32kmpl, Its best is 36-37kmpl.In both city and highway conditions. 3. Headlight - many will not speak about the best part of this bike. Yes, its headlamps dual projector units of low and high beam. ( it is also shared by its twin rc200) 4. Maintenance - not as much as a regular 200cc bike and not as less as a 100cc bike. 5. Road presence - it's been 6 years, But still it has something that will attract people's eyes to your bike. 6. Modifications - if you are a stunt rider and you have to go through power, Torque and external modifications. Cons: 1. Weight- weighing around 165kg it feels heavy a bit which is only 5 kgs less than a classic 350. ( but it'll never give you a performance lag) 2. Handling - handling at corners feels a little sturdy. But yes, It's minimal. With the use of a month, you can go through it easily. 3. Vibrations - once you have met with an accident Or small external damage. You cannot bring back the originality for sure in this bike. The vibration factor happens here. 4. Chain sprocket - the chain sprocket change after your first one, It will be easy to wear and tear, If you are calculating it for 3000-4000kms you would definitely go through change before 500kms.

  • Overall Experience With RS 200

I own RS 200 for the past 6 months. I'm gonna share my experience here. 1. Comfort 2. Mileage 3. Performance 4. Pros and cons. 1. Comfort: When it comes to the matter of comfort riding position it's the thing I liked the most riding style is not aggressive so can easily manageable in cities. There will be major issues with the pillion rider seat it's not at all comfortable after 20mins of sitting on the seat we'll start facing pain in the hips and back. 2. Mileage: When it comes to mileage it gives around 32-34kmpl we can't expect more than that. 3. Performance we can't expect the same pickup after 1st servicing they use normal oil so pickup won't be that great after 1st servicing. The top speed I touched is around 142kmph. Even at that speed bike will be very stable. 4. Pros and cons: Pros. 1. Everyone will be a great fan of the bike's looks, and they look like a beast at this price range, the speed and pickup are great, and any bike will not be able to compete with RS 200 in this price range. 2. Its handling and braking are soo great. ABS saved me many times. Cons: 1. Vibrations are more on the front side of the bike, and the pillion seat is soo uncomfortable. 2. In heavy rains it's not recommended to drive this bike.

    Instrument cluster

The bajaj pulsar rs 200 is a true beast on the road. Its sporty design and aggressive styling immediately catch your eye.As a rider, I appreciate the power and performance this bike offers. The 199.5cc engine delivers a punchy 24.5 bhp, Providing an exhilarating riding experience. The handling is remarkable, Thanks to the perimeter frame and well-tuned suspension. It sticks to corners like glue and feels stable at high speeds. The dual-channel abs adds an extra layer of safety, Instilling confidence in braking. The instrument cluster is modern and informative, With features like a gear position indicator and a clock. However, The split seat design, While sporty, Might not be the most comfortable for long rides.Fuel efficiency is decent for a bike of this class, And it's a great option for those who want a sporty ride without breaking the bank on fuel costs. In conclusion, The bajaj pulsar rs 200 is an impressive sports bike that offers excellent value for money. It's not just about style; it delivers the performance and handling to match. If you're a thrill-seeking rider, This bike should definitely be on your radar.

  • Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Dynamic Sportster with Racing D

My pick for a strong and dégagé agent is the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. This 200cc completely faired motorbike, priced is intended for immature riders appearing for an exhilarating lift. A dégagé and amusing lift is assured by the comfortable sitting situation and little forward leaning posture. With over to 35 km/ l, it's a important agent without immolating energy frugality. With its ambitious and athletic face and nimble running, every trip has an redundant lozenge of excitement. The dynamic sensation is completed by the font- aimed and ultrapractical innards, which places an emphasis on faculty and interpretation. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is not precisely a motorbike for immature riders searching for a engine that combines Control and delicacy; it's a statement, a high- interpretation agent that offers an inconceivable riding experience with every twist of the throttle.
