Design: While the Pulsar NS200 boasts a sporty design. The bike has only received small visual updates including an inverted front fork, a fully LCD display and an updated LED headlight. However, the overall design and bodywork remain somewhat the same and its visual appeal has become somewhat outdated since its introduction in 2012. The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is available in one variant and three colour schemes: Brooklyn Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Racing Red.
Features: The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 now gets an LED headlight. In terms of features, the fully digital LCD console now gets an all-new layout and gets Bluetooth connectivity with call and SMS alerts, distance to empty, real-time and average mileage and even turn-by-turn navigation. There’s now also an additional switch on the left switchgear to navigate through the console.
Engine: Powering the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is a 199.5cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that complies with the BS6.2 standards. This powerplant delivers a robust performance of 24.5PS at 9750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8000rpm, and it is paired with a six-speed gearbox. In our test, the Bajaj NS200 delivered a mileage of around 40kmpl in mixed riding conditions (city and highway).
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The NS200 features a perimeter frame and rides on a suspension system consisting of an inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, both paired with Grimeca callipers. Dual-channel ABS is included as a standard safety feature. The updated Pulsar NS200 sports 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in MRF Nylogrip Zapper FY2 tubeless tyres, with a 100-section tyre up front and a 130-section tyre at the rear.
Rivals: The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 rivals the likes of the Apache RTR 200 4V, KTM 200 Duke and the Honda Hornet 2.0. Additionally, the Pulsar NS200 also contends with other contenders like the Yamaha MT-15, Yamaha FZ 25 and Suzuki Gixxer 250.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Pros and Cons
Pulsar NS200 Advantages
Sporty handling characteristics, the 6-speed gearbox proves advantageous on the highway, and commendable performance considering the price point
Pulsar NS200 Disadvantages
Design looks dated now, lacks adequate features and the absence of dual-channel ABS is a miss
Pulsar NS200 Expert's Conclusion
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has traditionally been regarded as a budget-friendly option for those seeking a sporty streetfighter. Nevertheless, the recent Rs 11,000 price increase solely for the addition of fuel injection may be difficult to justify. Furthermore, considering that competitors now provide superior features, the relevance of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 appears to have diminished.
Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Expert Review
Overview
The NS200 was the first bike that came out of the Bajaj-KTM partnership, and over the years it has been able to retain a commanding presence in the sports naked category. But since its launch there hasn’t been any changes except the occasional updates to conform with government emission standards. The new NS200 has changed that and brings with it some much needed updates.
Design
Design and styling still remains the same and the NS200 still features the semi-digital instrument cluster but this time with more information such as a gear position indicator and distance to empty. The most visible design change that can be noticed is the addition of the new USD fork that gives the bike a distinct look when compared to the older variant. The bike also comes in 4 colour options: Ebony Black, Pearl Metallic White, Pewter Grey and Cocktail Wine Red.
Engine, mileage and performance
The NS200 hasn’t undergone any upgrades in the performance department and is powered by the same 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that’s derived from the KTM Duke 200.The engine produces 24.5PS at 9750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8000rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox and gives a mileage of 36 kmpl according to Bajaj.
When looking at the other motorcycles in the same segment like the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Honda Hornet 2.0, the NS200 is able to easily outclass them when it comes to performance and has a clear edge in this department.
Handling and ride quality
The handling and ride quality have changed significantly since Bajaj brought in major updates such as:
-
A 33mm USD fork – similar to the one found on the Brazil-spec Dominar 160
-
300mm/230mm disc brake setup from the Pulsar 250
-
Dual-channel ABS
The new 33mm USD fork has altered the bike’s handling characteristics and made it more planted and easier to hit corners, the steering effort required to flick the bike from side to side has gone down significantly. The stock settings on the USD forks seem quite balanced and are neither too stiff or too soft and this makes riding through city traffic easy. The old ByBre brakes have been replaced with Grimeca ones we’ve seen on the Pulsar N250 and the F250. This has given the new NS200 a 300mm disc at the front and 230mm one at the rear. The petal discs have also made way for normal circular ones.
Comfort
When it comes to riding comfort the NS200 manages to strike a good balance. The riding geometry, suspension set up and overall handling character make the bike both a good commuter and a performance-oriented naked. Potholes can be easily handled and the bike remains planted.
Features
In terms of features, the NS200 misses out on a lot. Sure, the updated console comes with more information like distance-to-empty, real-time fuel efficiency indicator and a gear position indicator, but these features have been added in too late. The bike’s competitors like the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V already have this and much more.
Should you buy the NS200?
The NS200 is still a good motorcycle and offers better performance when compared to its rivals in the segment like the Apache RTR 200 4v and the Honda Hornet 2.0, and is only outclassed by the KTM Duke 200. The bike overall does provide a good riding experience and performance at an attractive price of Rs 1.49 lakh(ex-showroom Delhi) so if you are someone who is interested in performance, the NS200 will be perfect for you.
But if performance is not the main concern and you want a full package with modern features then the NS200 wouldn’t be suitable.

power performance and all
My go-to bike for both everyday commutes and weekend excursions has been the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. With its 200cc engine, every ride is exhilarating. Aspiring biker my younger brother finds its quickness and athletic design amazing. He frequently uses it for his excursions and raves about its dependability and performance. The fuel economy and inexpensive maintenance of the bike appeal to my realistic dad. The NS200 stands out for its cutting-edge features including perimeter frame and liquid cooling. This bike is for me about enjoying the ride as much as going from point A to point B. My lifestyle now would not be the same without the Pulsar NS200, which provides the ideal fusion of performance and utility.

Everthing better than competitors
Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is a great bike and is a good bike for travelling and the 24.5 PS is very good and gives around 40 kmpl of mileage. It is much better than Apache RTR 200 4V in every aspects like high mileage, high power, high performer engine, great look and everthing but has a less modern features. It comes with 6 speed gearbox which is great for the highway and for touring and the performance of this bike is just commandable.

best in its segment
Bajaj pulsar ns200 is one of the modern models with refined features and functions with better accessibility. I took a test drive of this model and it was a very smooth ride, free from hassles, all features worked quite well. Although it is a bit expensive i am still thinking of buying this model for my daily commute purposes. It is not even heavy to drive plus it is quite convenient.

Attractive design and enjoyable performance
My Bajaj pulsar NS 200 never disappoints me in any situation. it gives a moderate mileage of 40kmpl and the maintenance cost is also normal. the price is little bit high for middle class. the handling is super smooth and the gearbox also works perfectly. I am satisfied with the performance but the seat could be more comfortable.
