Audi Q8 Overview

Audi has launched the Q8 facelift in India from Rs 1.17 Crore (ex-showroom). The facelifted Q8 gets a new grille, updated lighting elements, new alloys and a new Sakhir Gold Metallic shade to add to its exterior. It is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine and is available in a single fully loaded variant. The interior has different colour options for the upholstery. The Q8 will rival the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the BMW X7.

Audi Q8 Key Highlights

Features: The Audi Q8 is equipped with features like Audi’s virtual cockpit for the driver, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay/Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, four-zone climate control, Matrix LED headlights with customisable digital signature DRLs, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging and ambient lighting. Safety features include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, brake assist, and park assist with a 360-degree camera.

Engine: The Q8 is powered by a 3-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine that delivers 340PS and 500 Nm. It is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drivetrain. The SUV accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph. It measures 4995 mm in length, 1995 mm in width, 1705 mm in height and sits on a 2995 mm wheelbase.

Rivals: It locks horns with the Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7.

Variants: The Q8 is available in a single variant in India. Colour options include: Glacier White, Mythos Black, Sakhir Gold, Samurai Gray, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown, Vicugna Beige, and Waitomo Blue.

Distinctive, not loud
- The Q8 looks large and imposing in the flesh
- Lines are simple, aggressive and attractive
- Attention grabbing but not shouty design
- 21-inch wheels, soft close doors and selective DRL signatures are the standouts
- Not very distinctive looking from the rest of the Audi SUV lineup. Could have had a few more external highlights like flush mounted door handles since it's the flagship model
