The Aprilia RS 457 is the Italian manufacturer’s all-new 450cc motorcycle. It is powered by a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine that produces 47.6PS.

Aprilia RS 457 Key Highlights

Price: The Aprilia has been priced at Rs 4,10,000 (ex-showroom Maharashtra).

Features: The Aprilia RS 457 gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity available as optional. It gets ride-by-wire technology, 3 riding modes and 3 levels of traction control that can be switched off.

Engine: The Aprilia RS 457 is powered by an all-new 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine producing 47.6PS. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with the quickshifter available as an accessory.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The suspension setup in the Aprilia RS 457 consists of a 41mm inverted fork with 120mm wheel travel and a monoshock with 130mm wheel travel. Both come with preload adjustability. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc brake with a four-piston radial caliper and 220mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS and supermoto mode, which switches off the rear ABS. The 450cc supersport gets a twin-spar aluminium frame and a steel swingarm. It comes fitted with 110/70 (front) and 150/60 (rear) TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres and has a kerb weight of 175kg.

Rivals: The Aprilia RS 457’s rivals are the Kawasaki Ninja 400, KTM RC 390 and the upcoming Yamaha R3.

This is one of the few occasions

This is one of the few occasions where i have mentioned the rpm for peak torque and power because it is important here.Usually, Small-capacity twins with tons of power require you to wring the throttle to get going.In the case of the 457, You don’t.There’s tons of grunt right from the get-go.One of the reasons is that aprilia had room to work with as the engine is probably capable of even more power but south of 48 horses.
