Volkswagen Virtus Overview
The Volkswagen Virtus’s lineup has undergone a few changes, now divided into three distinct trims: Chrome, Sport, and GT Edge. The 1-litre turbo-petrol engine is now available in the Sport GT Line variant. The Sport and Edge trims are exclusive to the GT variants, whereas the Chrome trim remains accessible across the entire lineup. Additionally, the Virtus GT Plus Sport, although currently a concept, is scheduled for launch in the second half of 2024.
The Volkswagen Virtus is a compact sedan, boasting a robust build and two zippy turbo-petrol powertrains. Debuted in 2022, this car was introduced in India to replace the Vento and is built on the MQB A0 IN platform. Its powertrains, combined with exceptional ride and handling, make it a true driver’s car. Additionally, its 5-star Global NCAP rating underscores its impressive safety credentials.

Features: The Volkswagen Virtus boasts a comprehensive array of features including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, it offers an 8-inch digital driver's display, automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, cruise control, automatic headlights, and rain-sensing wipers. The front seats are both powered and ventilated as well. On the safety front, the Virtus is equipped with electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and six airbags.
Engine: The Volkswagen Virtus offers two turbo-petrol engine options: a 1-litre three-cylinder engine generating 115 PS and 178 Nm, and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 150 PS and 250 Nm. Standard transmission is a 6-speed manual gearbox, while automatic transmission choices include a 6-speed torque converter for the 1-litre engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for the 1.5-litre engine. The sedan measures 1507 mm in height, 1752 mm in width, and 4561 mm in length, with a wheelbase of 2651 millimeters.

Variants: The Volkswagen Virtus can be opted for in these trims: the Dynamic Line (consisting of Comfortline, Highline, and Topline), the Performance Line (comprising GT, GT Plus, and GT Edge).When it comes to color choices, the VW Virtus offers a variety including Reflex Silver, Rising Blue, Curcuma Yellow, Lava Blue, Candy White, Carbon Steel Grey, and Wild Cherry Red. Furthermore, there's the exclusive GT Edge Collection available solely in Carbon Steel Grey and Deep Black Pearl.
