Good for city and off roading

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is the height of tough refinement, ideal for my spirit of exploration. Its 411cc engine and scrambler design make it the perfect partner for exploring off-road routes as well as urban jungles. I went for this model because I wanted to push the envelope of discovery and I adore riding off-road.

Royal Enfield Scram 411 Pros and Cons

Scram 411 Positives Points: Distinctive styling, Comfy ergonomics, Good off-roader, More easygoing for newbie riders going off-road

Scram 411 Negatives Points: Braking could have been better, Clutch is on the heavier side, Lacks switchable ABS which is a little disappointing for off-roading, Fit and finish not up to the mark

Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is capable of doing 95 percent of what the Himalayan already does. Its lighter steering, easygoing ergonomics and firmer suspension makes it a more enticing package for newbie riders than a full-blown ADV. It’s a bummer that it lacks switchable ABS.

My first impressions after

My first impressions after a test ride and a thorough look later. My main concern in the write-up is it's similarity (or the lack thereof) with the bike we all love, The himalayanhere goes.Three segments in all.Looks - definitely appealing, Especially the colour schemes in the higher segment. The himalayan se more aggressive and meaner in it's stance and looks. The scram will look to rope in newbies that love the himalayan but are put off by it's 'adv' theme. They can be assured of a better city ride. The scram is a mellowed down version of the himalayan.Ergonomics - like a tourer, But toned down to suit city traffic. The seating is lower as compared to the himalayan and quite comfortable for persons of average height.(will check the off-road capabilities sometime soon)long saddle time should not be a problem and the seat is very comfortable on the 'tashreef'.Engine - as per re standards, The vibrations are absent. The low end torque is not as high as a classic350, But it pulls through effortlessly once you put in the rpms. The clutch is slow. But so is the case with every re, So it can be overlooked. The plastics on the body have a down-market look. They could have done better with a premium feel.Added comments - the centre-stand can be had as an added accessory. The tripper navigation can be added, Only in the top segment.Value for money- the price is decently placed in the range of 2.4 - 2.5l which to me is still about 20-30k higher than what the company could have gone for.The rear seat is much better suited for a city pillion than the himalayan. But saddle bags will not look good and metal/fibre panniers would give it a good look (for those wanting to take her out on long rides)cost involved - hard to say as of now, But will not be any higher than the present himalayan. The maintenance of re bikes has definitely gone down in the last few years. The mileage will be better than the himalayan.Cons- not a full-blooded adv bike, Quality of materials.Pros- better priced, Better suited for city.Verdict: a adv biker will still go for the himalayan. The new entrants will like to polish off their skills on the scram.(ab himalayan ki tarah mummy ye bol kar bike lene se mana nahi karegi ki.'tu hi chalaega, Hum to iss par baith hi nahi sakte!' 😀).

Nice Bike

3.8

I have been using this bike for the last 1 year. I rode it for around 7000 km. I use it for everything. if you are planning to buy this bike. Let me clear some of the pros and cons.pros-1. The looks are stunning. It is a head, Turner. people will come and ask about the bike.2. Performance is decent not very good or not very less. It is just enough. You can easily cruise on highways and also use it in cities as well with no hassle.3. Comfort of the bike is best even for rider and pillion as well. The seat is on the softer side. But if you are planning for a long ride then go for a touring seat.4. Suspension treble is great you will not feel small potholes on the road.5. Handling is great. The bike is heavy but when you will sit on it. It will not feel heavy at all. you can take turns easily anywhere. If you are planning to buy just for the city go for it. You will not regret it.Cons-1. mileage is very less in cities and as well as highways max you can get up to 25 or 26 km. In cities, you will get around 20 to 22 kmpl.2. the clutch is hard. In bumper-to-bumper traffic, you will feel pain in your hand.3. Heating issue is there in the bike. You will feel a lot of heat in the new bike. But with time it will reduce. I have done my 3 Rd service. The heating is less as compared to when I bought it.4. If you are buying this bike. You should buy a center stand with it. Please don't buy this bike without a center stand. When the bike will get punctured. Without a center stand punctured walls will straight away deny fixing the puncture. There are also other perks to having a center stand.5. Bike is heavy and tall. If your height is less than 5.5 then go and take a test ride because it is not easy to handle this bike if your feet are not touching the ground. I hope this will help.

The Scram 411 bs6 model for

5.0

The scram 411 bs6 model for 2023 doesn’t have the same issues people have had wit the earlier himalayan bike. For a start it is now fuel injected and the front brake is better, You will probably need different front brake pads, But it’s fine for the bike, The scram seat is comfortable the smaller front wheel has transformed the bike so much.It rides better than the early himalayans.Mpg is about 85-100 miles per uk gallon. It’s a long stroke engine that’s a relatively reliable design and capable of many miles of use.Lots of parts available on line for this bike, Performance cams that increase the power by 20% and plug in ecu modules.Powerage do a nice exhaust can for the bike that’s had good reviews. It’s important to do the services on time and check the valve clearance, Which is easy enough to do ( no shims yeah!) with a spanner and screwdriver.Engine oil is 15w/50 sae semisynthetic oil, And replace the oil filter every time you change the oil. These are great bikes to own and ride but need maintenance regularly. They are fast enough easy to ride and will put a smile on your face.

Problems in Scram 411

Vivaan Parihar
Vivaan Parihar

Pricing could be low and reasonable

my friend is Royal Enfield Scram 411 I also had a ride on his bike. the experience was moderate. I didn't like the design of this bike very much and the performance is somewhere lacking in comfort. it has a 411 cc engine which gives a mileage of 35-40 kmpl depending on the terrains. I don't think that the pricing is reasonable. The engine was vibrating at higher speeds on highways.

Centre stand

No tubeless tyres, No centre stand, No centre stand in spare parts resulting in huge difficulty when my rear tyre got punctured.Due to spoke wheels unable to replace tyres with tubeless tyres.

Pre-launch

Low quality

I think royal enfield should not increase it's prices, Instead it should increase it's speed. And scram's colour doesn't seems like premium, It looks low quality.

big, bold and beautiful

My Royal Enfield Scram 411 is a bike that blends the capabilities of an adventure touring bike with the scrambler bike style. It's essentially an off-road-ready version of the popular Royal Enfield Himalayan, designed for those who want a blend of on-road comfort, light off-road capability, and a stylish scrambler aesthetic. It offers a comfortable upright riding posture with a single seat. It generally comes in a variety of colors which provides me the option for buying it .

Adventure Awaits with Royal Enfield Scram 411

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 has been my latest adventure companion and it is quite the versatile bike. Based on the Himalayan's chassis and engine, the Scram 411 sports a 411cc engine that churns out about 24 horsepower and 32 Nm of torque. This bike handles both city streets and rough terrains with ease all thanks to its agile nature and responsive handling. The Scram 411 is lighter and more easy to handle compared to its cousin, which is a plus in urban environments.
