A Personal Journey

My uncle's totally satisfied with this model. The KTM 390 Adventure is an adventure motorcycle . It bridges the gap between beginner-friendly adventure bikes . Its long-travel suspension, good ground clearance, and spoke wheel option. The 373.27cc engine produces 43 bhp of power and 37 Nm of torque. It offers a good balance between performance, off-road capability. Overall The KTM 390 Adventure is a great choice for riders seeking an adventure motorcycle that's both comfortable .

easy controls

The ktm 390 adventure is an advanced and modernised sibling of ktm 390 duke. I have the red colour of this bike and exterior wise it looks quite good. It has good mileage, enough ground clearance and satisfactory and easy controls. The engine is powerful and the seat is comfortable and wide. My friend also has this model and it is quite reliable for daily commute.

Low ground clearance

I am owning KTM 390 adventure from last 7 month and I am happy with the riding experience. the looks and fit and finishing is above average. it has a 370 cc engine which provide powerful performance even on hilly areas. mileage is around 25-30 kmpl. the ground clearance Little bit low and suspension could also be improved. the pricing is set on higher sides not affordable by middle class riders.

KTM 390 Adventure Pros and Cons

390 Adventure Positives Points: Excellent ergos for touring, Retains on-road performance of 390 Duke, Packed with electronic goodies

390 Adventure Negatives Points: Lacks low down torque for off-road riding, 855mm seat height is too tall for average Indian riders, Traction control feels a little glitchy

Hard suspension

The 390 adv while having a hard suspension still has decent dampening. It is a tall but light bike but may not suit short riders. While the dukes and rc may not be comfortable for larger riders with a tummy or who are taller this bike will keep such riders comfortable.Pros - good power & features (mtc, Slipper clutch, Cornering abs, Led lights and display)- less weight- strong and can take a bashing- decent service cost- ktm experiences and app- head turner in traffic- good breaking power compared to other adv's (but may be squeaky)cons - - more fuel hungry than dominar or himalyan in similar segment.-turn by turn navigation needs 3rd party app (not official ktm app)-low end torque is not great although improved on 2022 model-long waiting time for delivery (parts availability of fiber parts)-heating and perpetual feeling of the fan being on for cooling.- not available with spokes for serious offroaders(not really a con as those owning a single bike will likely be on road for most of their life.Alloys are good for mild off-roading and provides tubeless tires.)- wind buffeting due to short windscreen(aftermarket long ones available)- no ktm power parts available in indiaall in all still worth it as it is the best bike in less than 5l category.Above this you only have 2nd hand super bikes/or pay a lot more for a new superbike.

seems crowded or uneasy

comfort of the seats. It is simple to spend long hours riding the 390 ADV because to its ergonomic upright seating, which relieves back strain, wide handlebar, which gives you adequate leverage, and roomy seat, which is pleasant for riders of all sizes. The seat is a little stiff for some people, but the longer you sit on it, the better it feels. ride excellence. The smooth ride quality goes well with the comfy sitting. The 390 ADV has greater travel than the majority of street bikes, to start. As a result, KTM has been able to experiment with damping that is on the slower side and springs that are taut but not hard. As a result, the 390 rides comfortably and expertly over everything from ripples to bumps, potholes to road joints, and jumps and troughs. Additionally, it never seems crowded or uneasy.

Thrilling Yet Demanding

After clocking in over a thousand kilometers on my KTM 390 Adventure, it is clear that this bike aims to offer a thrilling experience paired with real adventure capabilities. The 373 cc engine with a powerful 43 HP and torque of 37 Nm makes any terrain feel conquerable. Its robust build and electronic offerings like traction control and cornering ABS accentuate its premium feel. However, the true adventure comes with challenges. The high fuel consumption observed during off road sessions and a bigger tank would be handy, as the 14.5 liters sometimes do not feel enough.
