Honda Grazia 125 BS6: Top 5 Facts

With the launch of the Honda Grazia 125 BS6, the Japanese brand’s BS6-compliant 125cc lineup is now finally complete. It’s certainly one of the most stylish looking vehicles in Honda’s lineup, but what else is noteworthy about it? Here are 5 fast facts:

A Heart Transplant

It continues to be a 125cc scooter, but the Grazia has received an all-new motor courtesy of the Activa 125. The fuel-injected unit churns out 8.25PS and 10.3Nm in this avatar as compared to 8.29PS in the Activa. This is slightly lower than 8.6PS and 10.54Nm available on the BS4 Grazia, but that is the price we pay for cleaner tailpipe emissions.

Feature Frenzy

The new motor has also brought with it some new tech. It’s now silently brought to life by an ACG starter, and gets an idle start-stop system and a side-stand cut-off too. Honda has even thrown in an external fuel-filler cap. Like before, the Grazia gets LED lighting and fully-digital instrumentation, making this quite a feature-rich scooter.

Wardrobe Makeover

It would be a damn shame if Honda updated the scooter without us being able to tell what’s new. To help us identify the Grazia 125 BS6, Honda has tweaked the styling on the apron and headlight units, and given the new Grazia a pretty unique tail-lamp design as well.

Under The Surface

Underpinnings consist of an underbone frame holding everything together, and suspension is handled by a conventional telescopic fork/monoshock setup. The monoshock can be adjusted for preload, and the Grazia also gets the option of alloy wheels and a front disc brake.

What’s The Damage?

Nothing in life comes free, and the updates to the Grazia are no exception to this rule. This BS6 version is priced from Rs 73,912, which makes it around Rs 13,000 more expensive than its BS4 predecessor. We think this is quite steep, considering the changes. The scooter is available in two variants: Standard, with steel wheels and drum brakes at both ends, and Deluxe, with alloy wheels and a front disc brake, which is a massive Rs 16,000 more expensive than before. We can only hope that there are no subsequent price hikes anytime soon.
