In terms of design, the new bike is completely the same as the other variants except for the obvious: the single seat. While the split seat offers a sporty appeal, the single piece unit gives the bike a more hearty commuter touch.
Even the powertrain is the same – 124.8cc single-cylinder motor producing 11.38PS and 11.2Nm. It comes paired to a five speed gearbox. Now that the drum brake variant has been discontinued, it gets a 240mm disc up front and a 130mm drum unit at the rear with CBS as standard across all trims.
For features, the TVS Raider single seat variant gets the same negative LCD instrument cluster displaying speedometer, tachometer, trip meter and a fuel gauge, the same as the split-seat model. It also has a low fuel, gear position indicator, clock, fuel efficiency indicator and ride modes. It also gets SmartXonnect variant with a better console which comes with a host of features.
It goes up against premium 125cc rivals like the Honda SP125, Hero Glamour 125, Bajaj Pulsar NS125, and the Keeway SR125.
