The Bajaj CT 125X sports a design that’s similar to its smaller sibling, the CT 110X. It gets a stylish headlight cowl which houses a ‘V’ shaped LED DRL and a small visor, a unique bit to see on a budget commuter bike. That said, it misses out on connectivity features seen on the Hero Passion Xtec or Splendor Plus Xtec.
It is powered by a 124.4cc motor that makes 10.9PS at 8000rpm and 11Nm at 5500rpm, meaning it’s the same engine that powered the Bajaj Discover 125.

Bajaj has used basic equipment on the CT 125X to keep the overall costs in check. It gets a halogen headlight, analogue instrument cluster and a bulb-type taillight & turn indicators. However, it does get a USB charger mounted on the handlebar. Underpinnings include a telescopic fork with gaiters, twin shocks, along with an optional disc brake at the front and a standard drum one at the rear. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends with a 80-section tyre up front and 100-section one at the rear.
What makes the new 'X' trim stand apart from the regular bike is the use of certain elements such as chunky tank pads, a ribbed seat cover, luggage carrier and underbelly protector plate that give it a more rugged look.
The lack of features on the CT125X is somewhat justified by its price. At Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom Delhi), the bike comes off as a value-for-money, ‘go-anywhere’ commuter, apt to tackle our miserable roads. The bike is available in Ebony Black and you can select from green, blue and red decals. With that, the CT 125X rivals the Honda Shine, TVS Radeon, Hero Glamour and Honda SP 125.
