2024 KTM 390 Adventure Spotted Testing In India Once Again

The next-gen KTM 390 Adventure is one of the most anticipated motorcycles and it has been spotted testing in India once again. 

The bike gets an all-new trellis frame from the new 390 Duke while the sub-frame, swingarm and the single-piece seat are different. It is powered by the same 398.63cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine found in the 390 Duke, where it produces 46PS at 8500rpm and 39Nm at 6500rpm. In the Adventure, expect the tuning to be different to suit the ADV’s character better. With the motor being more tractable than the previous-gen unit, it should improve the 2024 KTM 390 Adventure’s all-round capabilities. 

The bike gets a vertically stacked dual projector LED headlight setup and a beak-like fender underneath, as seen before. The windscreen is taller, the LED turn indicators look different and the tail section is sleeker than the model currently on sale. Also the windscreen has a cutout which is designed for better airflow and keeps the rider cool, especially required in India where the summers can get really hot.

The next-gen 390 Adventure gets an adjustable inverted fork with longer wheel travel and an off-set monoshock, most likely with adjustability as well. From the pictures, it looks like the bike gets a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup with Metzeler Tourance tyres. The underbelly exhaust looks very peculiar on the ADV and remains to be seen whether it’ll affect the bike’s water wading capabilities. The instrument console looks the same as the one seen on the new 390 Duke but is mounted high above the handlebar, similar to that of a rally bike. It is likely to get all the features found in the 390 Duke along with an additional cruise control. 

The 2024 390 Adventure is expected to get a price tag of Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and will likely be showcased at EICMA 2024 (November 5-10, 2024) first. The launch is expected to happen by the end of 2024 or early 2025. Its primary rivals will be the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming Hero Xpulse 400.
