EXCLUSIVE: Honda CRF300L Spotted In India

Yes, you saw it here first. An image of the Honda CRF300L has been circulating the WhatsApp chat groups (Thank You, WhatsApp!) and we’ve managed to score it. And just in case you wanted proof it is in India, check out the surrounding two-wheelers: Unicorns and Dios. 

So, is Honda going bold and bringing the CRF300L on August 8 instead of the Forza 350? That’s still pretty unclear. Both products are extremely different in their appeal and something that we haven’t quite seen Honda India dabble in at all: a proper adventure on-/off-roader and a full-blown maxi-scooter.

The reason why we would lean a bit towards the CRF is because that would be a great bike for off-road enthusiasts who are looking at a step up from the Hero XPulse 200. Yep, the Rally Edition was launched recently but this bike bears the ‘CRF’ letters that have a long lineage of off-roading pedigree.

This CRF300L also shares its motor with the CB300R. On the adventure machine, the 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled mill makes 27.33PS and 26.6Nm, 3.77PS and 0.9Nm less than the naked. However, the motor will be tuned for a better low-end response to suit its adventure capabilities.
