Q. My wife (age 40 wants a Scooter with metal body , she is likely to commute 20kms a day within city), if I buy Hero Destini in the long run will I get value for money especially like better resale value, low spares cost, rising comfort, on par mileage in comparison to Suzuki 125 Access, Jupiter & Honda Activa 5G. which brand of Scooter to buy?

When I told to service people, they told during service it will increase, but it may increase 5kms if they are correct not more than that...very difficult to afford the scooty's with mileage of 30 kms per litre

Nothing to get confused, Suzuki Access 125 is best suitable Scooter for you. Before finalising, test drive Access & Activa - sure you will opt Access. Drive safely on left side of the road (safest place on the road - especially for women) always wear Branded Helmet. Go ahead......

Nope.. worst choice its not a value for money scoter.. it will hrdly give you 40 kmpl.. and Its vibration will also disappoint youGo for Hero glamour Super splandr etc.. or Scooter like Honda Activa Dio etc

Q. I'm facing a problem with Hero Destiny 125. It automatically gets off when brakes applied.

I have faced similar issue with my Destini 125. I faced it when it was brand new. I showed it to the service center guys and they checked if the spark plug was charring (black deposit on tip). They said it wasn’t the case but still cleaned it. I didn’t face that issue for a long time after that. So get your spark plug checked. And when you get your scooter serviced, make sure you ask the mechanic to clean spark plug as well to avoid this issue in future.

That would depend on the riding conditions because if you are riding in relatively higher dusty areas then it would require a change earlier. Generally, the air cleaner elements of Hero Destini 125 requires a change after 12,000-15,000kms.
