Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS

Mercedes-Benz has launched the Maybach EQS 680 SUV in India at Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom). The SUV is the German automaker’s first all-electric offering under the Maybach nameplate. The ultra-luxury SUV comes with a dual-motor setup with which it can hit naught to 100 kmph in 4.4 seconds. It is based on the same powertrain as the standard EQS SUV but gets distinctive looks and plentiful premium features.

Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS Key Highlights

Features: The Maybach EQS 680 SUV is loaded with features like a triple-screen setup with a digital driver’s display, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a passenger touchscreen display. It also gets two individual sunroofs, wireless phone chargers for both front and rear passengers, electrically adjustable front and rear seats with memory function, ventilated and heated seats with massage function, and gesture controls for the touchscreen, sunroof and doors. Safety is taken care of by 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and Level 2 ADAS features like lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.

Motor: The Maybach EQS SUV comes with a 122 kWh battery pack, which is mated to a dual-motor setup with all-wheel-drive. This setup returns an output of 658 PS and 950 Nm. The SUV can sprint from naught to 100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 210 kmph. With this battery pack, it gets a WLTP-claimed range of 611 km. The Maybach EQS 680 measures 5125 mm in length, 2157 mm in width, 1721 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3210 mm.

Rivals: The Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS 680 is an EV alternative to the Bentley Bentayga and is also an affordable rival to the Rolls Royce Spectre.

Range: Maybach EQS can go upto 611 km/charge after a full charge.

Variants: The Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS 680 is available in a single variant with two colour options: Opalite White and Alpine Grey.
