Land Rover Discovery Overview

The Land Rover Discovery has been launched in a new top-spec Metropolitan Edition trim level in India. It's based on the R-Dynamic trim level, and is priced from Rs 1.26 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India). Its features include new 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels, black brake callipers, a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control and 20-way adjustable front seats.

Earlier, Land Rover had launched the 2021 Discovery at prices starting from Rs 88.06 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The facelifted SUV features a revised front and rear fascia and gets an updated feature list.

The new SUV is available in three powertrain options: 2.0-litre petrol (P300), 3.0-litre petrol (P360), and 3.0-litre diesel engine(D300). Land Rover offers the Discovery in two trims: Standard and R-Dynamic. Both trims can be had in the S,SE, and HSE variants

The Land Rover Discovery takes on the likes of the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Audi Q7.

This blend of rugged capability and luxury makes the Discovery a popular choice for those seeking both adventure and comfort for the whole family. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

Land Rover Discovery Key Highlights

Features: The Land Rover Discovery comes loaded with features such as a new 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air (OTA) updates functionality, Meridian sound system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, cruise control, touch-based four-zone climate control, PM 2.5 AC filter, a wireless phone charger, powered front seats, and a key with touch-based controls. Safety is covered with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control.

Engine: The 2021 is powered by three engines: a 300PS/400Nm 2.0-litre petrol (P300), a 360PS/500Nm 3.0-litre petrol (P360), and a 300PS/650Nm 3.0-litre diesel unit (D300). Apart from the 2.0-litre petrol, the rest two are equipped with mild-hybrid tech. All engines come specced with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission. In terms of performance, the SUV is capable of doing a 0-100kmph sprint within 7.7 seconds (P300), 6.8 seconds (P360), and 6.9 seconds (D300). The Discovery is 4956mm long, 2220mm wide, 1888mm tall and sits on a 2923mm wheelbase.

Rivals: The Land Rover Discovery locks horns with the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Audi Q7.

Variants: Land Rover offers the new Discovery in two trims: Standard and R-Dynamic. It gets three variants to choose from: S,SE and HSE.

Stunning looks and amazing interface

I am really impressed by the speed and performance of the Land Rover Discovery. This car has a great user interface in the screen and the steering of this car is very powerful. This car has an engine of 1997cc of engine and provides a mileage of 12.37 kmpl which seems decent given the price range and the overall performance of the car.

drive in the city with grace

Salutations to everyone The Land Rover Discovery is a great SUV, as I recently discovered. About 88 lakhs is the pricing. It is offered in Santorini Black and Fuji White. I thought the Fuji White was rather lovely. The leather-upholstered, incredibly soft seats make the cabin feel rather roomy. Large entertainment screen on the contemporary dashboard. It handles brilliantly on the road and rides quite smoothly. Furthermore fuel-efficient is the vehicle. The Land Rover Discovery is an excellent option if you want a premium SUV that is both very comfortable and performs well.

High luxury car in india

It provides a safe driving experience and is fully equipped with cutting edge features. This luxurious and highly practical option is ideal for families and the third row has little room, but it is a very capable off road vehicle with a luxurious and modern interior. It is a very capable car with a very roomy cabin and seat but not much room for cargo.

A Blend of Luxury and Versatility

On a winter vacation to the beautiful sidewaters of Kerala, my Land Rover Discovery was my chariot of choice. The seven seater layout ensured my big family was comfortable and the Meridian sound system provides the perfect soundtrack for our journey.However, a few things did not quite hit the mark. The Discovery’s size made movement through the narrow village roads a little bit challenging. The maintenance cost is on the higher side in a coustomers of country like India.
