The 2024 Harley-Davidson Sportster S has been launched with an increased price of Rs 16,49,000 (ex-showroom). It gets a Fat Bob-like fascia coupled to a flat tracker-like design with a single seat and high-set, vertically stacked twin exhausts. Like the design, the riding posture is sportier than usual, courtesy the low flat handlebar, 750mm seat height, and the chunky tyres at both ends.

Price: The 2024 Sportster S is priced from Rs 16,49,000 (ex-showroom), and has four colour options: Billiard Grey, Vivid Black, Red Rock, and Sharkskin Blue.

Features: The Sportster S, like most other new Harley-Davidson motorcycles, features LED lights all around. It has a 4-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The cluster has all the standard readouts as well as turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and music control. The Sportster S has a comprehensive suite of rider aids: cornering ABS, cornering traction control, engine brake control, tyre pressure monitoring system, wheelie and rear-wheel lift control.

Engine: The Sportster S has a 1252cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine (like in the Pan America 1250), which makes 122PS at 7500rpm and 125Nm at 6000rpm. The Sportster S has a claimed mileage of 19.61kmpl.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The bike is sprung on a Showa 43mm inverted fork and a link-type Showa piggyback monoshock, both fully adjustable. Braking is via a disc up front with radial calliper, and a disc at the rear. The Sportster S has a 765mm tall seat, an 11.8-litre fuel tank, and a kerb weight of 228kg.
