Bajaj Pulsar N150 Expert Review
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is one of the latest additions to Bajaj’s lineup of sporty 150-160cc bikes. It’s basically a replacement for the P150, which was discontinued shortly after the N150 was launched. It gets an attractive and stylish design language, that is based on that of its bigger sibling, the Pulsar N160. So, should you consider this bike as an option if you are on the market for a sporty 150cc bike? Let’s take a look:
Looks, Feel & Quality
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 has an aggressive and sharp design language. It looks sleek, sharp and aggressive thanks to it’sLED headlight design and large tank extensions. The P150’s small underbelly exhaust makes the bike look quite narrow and compact.. The alloy wheel design and the single-piece seat is carried over from the bike it replaced, the Bajaj Pulsar P150.
Power & Mileage
Powering the Pulsar N150 is a 149.68cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 14.5PS and 13.5Nm of torque. This motor offers sporty performance, which combined with the smooth 5-speed gearbox, makes the N150 quite a fun bike to ride, especially in the city. Also, the N150 offers good mileage, which means whether you’re spending your weekdays in city traffic, or your weekends out on the highway for long rides, the Pulsar N150 is a good option. And thanks to its 14-litre fuel tank, you should be able to ride a fair distance before you need to refuel.
Suspension, Ride Quality & Ease of Riding
The Pulsar N150 also offers nimble handling, which means it can change directions quickly.. The telescopic fork and monoshock suspension setup works perfectly in keeping the bike stable when you’re turning quickly, and that is a boon when trying to navigate through heavy traffic. And even if you decide to ride it on a twisting ghat road, it remains steady and handles sharp corners really well. The disc brake setup complements the riding experience with good stopping power.
Comfort
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 gets an accessible seat height of 790mm, so even shorter riders should have no problems getting their feet on the ground. Plus, its ground clearance of 165mm should be more than enough to ride over tall speed breakers and bumps without scraping any part of the bike. That said, its kerb weight of 145kg is heavier compared to its rivals. When it comes to its riding position, the handlebar is set slightly lower, so you have to lean towards it a little bit. But it’s not so much that it will leave you with wrist and back aches. Combine tha with its mid-set footpegs, and the Pulsar N150 gets a fairly comfortable riding posture.
Features
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 gets a fully digital LCD instrument console that displays the speedometer, odometer, tachometer, gear position indicator, real-time and average mileage readout, distance to empty indicator and other readouts. It also comes with smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts, phone battery level and signal indicator. A USB charging port near the tank flap adds to the practicality of the bike.
Is The Bajaj Pulsar N150 Worth Buying?
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is a very good option if you are looking for a sporty 150cc bike with stylish looks, enjoyable performance, good mileage and an attractive price tag. It’ll should be perfect for your everyday commutes as well for covering longer distances during the weekend.
