Ather 450X Latest Updates
According to SIAM (Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers) sales data, the Ather 450X is one of the best-selling EVs in May 2024.
The Ather 450X is the flagship electric scooter made by Ather Energy and is available in two variants. The Ather 450X is available in 6 colours - Cosmic Black, Still White, Salt Green, Space Grey, True Red and Lunar Grey.
Ather 450X Key Highlights
Price: The Ather 450X is available in two variants, with 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh capacity batteries. The 2.9kWh variant is priced at Rs 1,40,599 and the 3.7kWh variant is priced at Rs 1,54,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including EMPS subsidy but not including state subsidy).
Design: The third-generation Ather 450X combines practicality with sporty aesthetics. Its design is characterised by an apron-mounted LED headlight and sleek body panels that seamlessly blend to create a cohesive look. The e-scooter boasts a flat floorboard that extends to the sides, serving as pillion footrests, which simplifies its construction with fewer moving parts. In its latest iteration, the 450X features an updated seat designed to enhance both rider and pillion comfort. Furthermore, the stylish LED tail lamp extends downward, incorporating turn signals at the rear, adding a unique touch to the scooter's appearance. It also introduces a redesigned switchgear for the instrument console, enhancing the overall user experience.
Features: The latest AtherStack 5.0 software update gets a lot of improvements for the third-generation Ather 450X, all accessible through its IP65-rated 7-inch colour-TFT touch-enabled console. The console has undergone a subtle layout redesign, now featuring a Bluetooth prompt and time readouts in the top-right corner, reminiscent of a mobile phone interface. It also incorporates various gesture functions to enhance user interaction. With the new firmware, the 450X enhances its navigation capabilities. While it already supported Google Maps, it now introduces '3D Vector' Maps, allowing for perspective changes similar to those in Android Auto for cars. Furthermore, the included trip planner is invaluable for planning stops, including charging stations, on long-distance journeys. The latest Over-The-Air (OTA) software update also includes two-wheeler-specific ride routes, enhanced live traffic indicators and improved GPS connection. The Ather 450X also introduces an Auto Hold (hill hold) function, which remains engaged until you tap the brakes to disengage it. The scooter features all-LED lighting and offers Bluetooth-enabled call and music controls. It comes equipped with integrated 4G LTE SIM connectivity and boasts 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage. It's worth noting that some of these features are part of the 'Pro-pack' and come at an additional cost. Without the Pro-pack, the 450X will have a black-and-white display and won't include the five riding modes: Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp.
Motor: The Ather 450X comes equipped with a PMS (Permanent Magnet Synchronous)) motor that delivers a nominal power of 3kW and can achieve a peak power output of 6.4kW, accompanied by a torque of 26Nm. These specifications result in the e-scooter claiming a top speed of 90kmph. The scooter offers two battery pack options: a 3.7kWh variant and a 2.9kWh variant. The 3.7kWh battery provides a certified range of 150km, while the 2.9kWh variant offers a certified range of 111km. Charging times for these variants vary, with the 3.7kWh battery requiring 5 hours and 45 minutes for a full charge, and the 2.9kWh variant necessitating 8 hours and 36 minutes to reach a full charge.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Ather 450X gets an aluminum chassis with a suspension system that includes a telescopic front fork and a monoshock unit in the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by a 200mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc, both equipped with CBS (Combined Braking System) and regenerative braking as standard. This scooter rolls on 12-inch alloy wheels, sporting 90-section front and 100-section rear tubeless tyres. It maintains a ground clearance of 170mm and a seat height of 780mm. In terms of weight, the 3.7kWh variant has a kerb weight of 111.6kg, while the 2.9kWh variant weighs 108kg.
Rivals: The Ather 450X’s rivals are the Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak, TVS X, TVS iQube Electric and Hero Vida V1, and the Simple One.
Range: The 2.9kWh variant of the 450X gets a true range of 90km when operating in SmartEco mode, while the 3.7kWh variant delivers a true range of 110km in the same SmartEco mode.
Charging Time: Charging the battery of the 2.9kWh variant of the 450X requires a total of 8 hours and 36 minutes for a complete charge. In contrast, the 3.7kWh variant's battery can be fully charged in just 5 hours and 45 minutes.
Variants: The Ather 450X is available in two different variants, featuring battery capacities of 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh. Both of them are available with a choice of six distinct paint schemes: Space Grey, Still White, Salt Green, True Red, Cosmic Black, and Lunar Grey.

Ather 450X Pros and Cons
450X Advantages
Very light and nimble to handle, Warp mode is very quick and fun to use, Range prediction is very accurate, Build quality is of the highest order
450X Disadvantages
Ride quality is a bit on the firmer side, With the portable charger underseat storage gets full very easily, Key features can only be unlocked with the Pro pack
450X Expert's Conclusion
The Ather 450X stands out as the most exhilarating electric scooter currently available in the Indian market. While it may not boast an overwhelming array of features, straight-line performance, or range compared to some other e-scooters, it excels in delivering flawless functionality. Though it comes with a slightly higher price tag, especially when considering the Pro pack, if you seek an e-scooter that embodies sportiness and thrill, along with usability there's currently no other option quite like it.

Disappointed with the experience
Ather 450 X comes with a good attractive and stylish design. the build quality is also appreciable. I had ridden this scooter for around 1.5 year and my experience is good. it gives a riding range of 150 km on single charge and the battery also gets quickly charged within 4-5 hours. however the pricing is too high for this segment. I like the sitting posture of this scooter and the real suspension which works perfectly.

A Step into the Electric Future
I love my scooter as it is one of my favourite. My Ather 450X is an electric scooter known for its balance of performance, range, and technology, making it a strong choice in the Indian electric scooter market. the 450X features a sharp design with a comfortable riding posture. The 6.4kW electric motor provides a zippy riding experience, with a claimed 0-60 kmph time in 3.9 seconds. the Ather 450X starts at a higher price of around Rs 1,40,599 .

Ather 450X: The Smart Performance Scooter
The Ather 450X, which I purchased from Ather Space in Chennai, has completely changed the way I move throughout cities. This electric scooter is exceptional due to its cutting-edge features and powerful performance. At about 1.50 lakh, it provides a high-end experience that is well worth the money. The 450X is distinguished by its strong construction and elegant appearance. The real-world range of the 2.9 kWh battery is around 85 km, which is ideal for my daily commute. With its quick acceleration and agile handling, the scooter makes commuting through urban traffic a snap. One notable feature is the easy-to-use touchscreen dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity, trip metrics, and navigation. Furthermore, I can always be linked to my scooter with the Ather smartphone app, which enables remote diagnostics and monitoring. sleek and contemporary style, outstanding handling and acceleration ,sophisticate touchscreen dashboard complete app connection for mobile

Ather 450X: A Step into the Electric Future
As an upgrade to the 450S the 450X boasts a better range of 85 km and an impressive acceleration doing 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds its best for me and music control was a game changer for me.

ride it to feel it
my father bought ather 450 x last month and he is ok with the riding experience. I also had a ride on this scooter and according to me the performance is moderate. the company claims the riding range to be 150 km per charge but we just got 120 km which might be a concern. the thing I liked is its charging time which is 4 to 5 hours to get fully charged. the under seat storage could be increased . the pricing is also a major concern as it is higher than expected.

3.8Amazing vehicle
Amazing vehicle, Have ridden it a lot of times. It's very powerful when compared with other scooters in the price segment.Pros- excellent breakinggood stabilitystylish body - pears through the wind.Amazing rider control.Cons - at this price segment range needs to be improved.Vehicle is too small - won't recomend it for over 6ft persons boot space is ok additional front led light on the handle would be a plus (can't bend the scooter every time you drive).
