Treating an injured employee
A medical provider has a critical role in an injured employee’s recovery. In the workers’ compensation process, a medical provider helps reduce and prevent long-term disability by getting an injured employee back to work quickly and safely through assessing the injury, rendering treatment, and establishing return-to-work capabilities. To assist in this process, the Medical Provider section includes information on treatment, policies, and procedures related to treating an injured employee.
A provider who is new to working with WSI may wish to review the Quick Reference for New Providers, which outlines basic information and resources.
