Off to Another Country: KfW Loans for Start-ups and Entrepreneurs
Anyone who wants to take a young start-up or an established company further is dependent on capital - and this also applies when moving into new markets. KfW offers favourable loans for various investment projects; we are happy to inform you about the possibilities.
For First Steps: ERP Start-up Loan
Is your company newly established or has it been on the market for no more than five years? Then KfW's ERP Start-up Loan will provide you with low-interest capital for investments and working capital. This also applies if you start your business abroad. The offer is aimed at start-ups, business successors, young SMEs and freelancers.
Subsidiaries of companies and joint ventures with significant German involvement are also eligible.
You can receive a loan of up to 25 million euros to help your company grow abroad. You can use this loan in many ways: it is available to you to cover ongoing operations, including rents, personnel, marketing and consulting. In addition, the loan is a means of financing large investments - for example, in property, facilities, new buildings, company vehicles, software or licences. The minimum term is two years.
For Large Projects: KfW Entrepreneur Loan
Even if your company has already been on the market for more than five years and would like to invest abroad, KfW offers tailor-made loan solutions. Just like the Start-up Loan, you can also apply for the KfW Entrepreneur Loan for investments or to guarantee operations. The effective annual interest rate is particularly low and is currently only one percent for a term of two years. A prerequisite for a loan is that the group turnover must not exceed 500 million euros.
For Greater Sustainability: Additional KfW Loans
KfW also offers specialised loan programmes in the areas of energy, environment and sustainability. An overview of the three options:
