The 2024 Currys Black Friday sale has started. We're trawling through the offers to find the very best deals on home appliances, tech and more

Currys is set to lower prices on over 3,000 products this Black Friday, promising that 'not one of them will have been cheaper in the last six months. In addition, the majority are at an even lower price than they’ve been in the past six months.'

We don't like: Smaller than average opening

Another LG washing machine with a very generous capacity, this model can hold 10kg of cottons. It has 12 different wash programs to choose from too, including a 40-minute TurboWash that can tackle a 5kg half-load.

It has a spin speed of 1,400rpm and an energy rating of A. If you're the forgetful type, you might find the AddWash feature comes in handy at times too – it allows you to add in extra items once the program has started.

Bosch WAN28259GB

We like: Easy to use

We don't like: Lengthy wash programs

This freestanding washing machine has 16 programs around the main dial, including specific modes for shirts, waterproofs and jeans too. For smaller loads that you need to do in a hurry, choose from either a 15-minute or 30-minute quick wash.

Bosch’s ActiveWater Plus setting is designed to automatically detect the size of each load, then reduce the amount of water used to make it more efficient. There’s also an Iron Assist program that aims to reduce wrinkles by up to 50%.

We like: Simple to set up and use

We don't like: Missing some accessibility features

This 65-inch model is a high-end TV, so it’s not short on features. There’s a microphone in the remote, so you can use Alexa, Google Assistant or LG’s own ThinQ voice assistant to control many aspects of the TV. It has a 100/120Hz screen and pretty much every gaming feature going. You also get a twin-tuner PVR built-in, so you can record from two channels at once and watch TV on another channel while recording. You do need to connect a USB hard drive to take advantage of this feature, however.

Sony KD-55X85L

We like: Simple to use

We don't like: Thin audio lacks atmosphere

At its RRP of about £1,400, this wouldn't be good value. So look for a discounted price of less than £1,000.

Despite some flaws, it has a crisp picture and is easy to set up and use. It supports both Apple AirPlay and Google Cast, and has Google Assistant for voice control.

Acer Aspire 3 A315-59

We like: High specs for the price

We don't like: Outer plastic case looks a bit cheap

This Acer offers specs similar to lots of models double its current price. The 16GB Ram should help future-proof it, too.

There are some things to watch out for, including its 1.8kg weight being on the higher side for a laptop of this size, and having no USB-C ports (there are three full-size USB, so room for an adaptor).

Asus ZenBook 14 UX3402ZA

This is a very slim, portable 14" laptop weighing just 1.35kg, and its striking feature is its bright OLED display (like on high-end TVs) with 90Hz refresh rate, making everything super-smooth.

Despite its compact size, it's managed to fit in one full-sized USB port, two USB-Cs (which are also used for the cabled power supply), a HDMI output, Micro-SD card slot and 3.5mm headphone/mic socket.

Flagship phones from the likes of Apple, Samsung and Google are advertised everywhere. Motorola produces a powerful flagship range too, but it's not as well known.

Topping the bill for 2024 is the Edge 50 Pro with accomplished camera specifications and a high-resolution screen.

A rare selling point is its fast charging capabilities; Motorola claims the provided 125W charger can fully this phone it in just 18 minutes.

Currys air fryer deals

Tefal Easy Fry Dual Air Fryer & Grill EY905D

We like: It's quiet

We don't like: It weighs 8kg, which is heavy but not unusual for a large dual model

Unlike many other air fryers that are made from plastic, the outside of this one is covered in stainless steel. It measures 31 x 42 x 40cm (H x W x D).

Easy Fry Dual has two different sized drawers – a large drawer with a capacity of 5.2 litres and a smaller has a capacity of 3.1 litres, according to Tefal.

The digital display allows you to switch between six auto programs: fries, chicken, vegetables, fish, dessert and dehydrate. If you’re not a fan of those, you can adjust the temperature manually.

Philips 3000 Series NA352/00

This dual-zone air fryer from Philips comes with two removable drawers to accommodate your food, one larger than the other.

The digital display allows you to switch between eight auto programs, to help take the guesswork out of dinner.

You can use the two cooking zones separately, or you can use the Copy function to set the same cooking time and temperature for both.

The Shark IZ300UKT cordless vacuum cleaner is specifically designed for homes with pets. Its motorised DuoClean floor head is enhanced with a PowerFins brush-roll, which – according to Shark – is engineered to pick up more hair. It charges relatively quickly, taking just under three hours for a full battery that lasts 47 minutes.

The LED display shows battery life, suction levels and floor-type options, and its controls let you choose between eco, deep clean and boost power modes. In the box you'll find a crevice tool, multi-surface tool, pet tool, accessory bag, Lithium-Ion battery, charger, instruction booklet and quick-start guide.

When did the Currys Black Friday 2024 sale start?

Last year, Currys started its Black Friday sale on 3 November, three weeks before Black Friday.

This year, Currys kicked off its sale from 1 November. But because Black Friday falls much later than it did in 2024 (Black Friday is on 29 November and Cyber Monday on 2 December) it means the Currys sale will last a whole month.

That also means there is plenty of time to shop, so there's really no need to panic buy this year (or any year).

What is on offer in the Currys Black Friday 2024 sale?

Currys is offering discounts across pretty much all of its departments including:

This year, Currys say it will list the price of each product before it went on sale along with the dates it was at its previous price, both in-store and online.

It says that all products come with the Currys Price Promise, which offers a price match against any other UK retailer, online or in store. If you see the same item cheaper elsewhere, Currys will refund you the difference. Terms and conditions apply.

You can save more money by taking a piece of old tech into a Currys store to be recycled before you pick up your Black Friday deal. Under the Currys Cash for Trash scheme, you will receive a minimum £5 voucher to put towards your next eligible tech purchase (minimum £25 spend to redeem).

Does Currys offer any guarantees?

You can get some lengthy product guarantees at Currys, but not always. Take TVs and washing machines, where high-end models get five-year guarantees, while more basic ones won't have any additional guarantee beyond the manufacturer's.

If a guarantee is available it's usually shown as a bullet point when you're browsing through lists of products, or in the specifications section once you've clicked on a product.

More generally, all products bought at Currys come with a standard 12-month manufacturer's warranty from the date the item was purchased, but some manufacturers offer longer.

For a fee, Currys also provides a Care & Repair service, which offers breakdown support if needed. If the product is found to be irreparable, Currys will provide vouchers so you can get a replacement.

How much is delivery from Currys?

Currys offers several different delivery and collection options, so you can choose the most convenient for you.

Small items, standard delivery – this is free for orders over £40 or £3.99 for orders under £40 on all-day delivery. You can reserve a weekday time slot for £9.99.
Small items, next-day delivery – you'll pay £9.99 for a weekday slot, £6.99 for a weekend all-day slot or £10.99 for a weekend timed slot.
Large items, standard delivery – prices for all-day delivery start from £20, or you can choose a timed slot from £35.
Large items, next day delivery– prices start from £30, or you can choose a timed slot from £45.

Returning sales purchases to Currys

If you purchased your item from Currys online, you can return it within 14 days even if you've opened it - though it must be returned as new and in its original packaging. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from delivery to notify Currys you'd like to make a return and a further 14 days to send the items back.

Customers who bought a Black Friday product in store can return the item within 21 days in its unopened and sealed packaging, along with proof of purchase (excludes connected mobile phones).
