If you have a pre-existing medical condition, you'll need to contact Nationwide to add it to the policy – which may mean paying extra.

The latest data from the Financial Conduct Authority shows that Aviva – Nationwide's underwriter – accepted 80-85% of claims made on its worldwide annual policies in 2022. This was in line with the average rate of 82%.
