This silver-coloured freestanding fridge freezer has five shelves in the fridge compartment, three of which can be adjusted to accommodate a few larger items.
There are also three egg racks and four compartments in the fridge door. The freezer has three drawers and one ice-cube tray.
Settings include an economy setting and rapid cooling and freezing for when you’ve just introduced a large batch of food that needs to be chilled or frozen quickly.

This Bosch has good capacity, with space to fit 13 supermarket bags of food inside. The fridge has three shelves and two drawers, and below it, the freezer section has three drawers.
The doors are reversible so you can adapt the way it opens to suit your kitchen floorplan.
Features include fast freeze and super cool functions to help deal with large batches of food quickly. There are also door alarms on both the fridge and freezer that will alert you if you leave them open.
It's currently the cheapest it's ever been at a couple of retailers.

We don’t like: The digital controls aren’t as straightforward to use as they could be
This freestanding fridge freezer has enough room for 13 supermarket carrier bags of food and drink inside.
The digital controls include an Eco mode, along with fast freeze and quick chill functions that will temporarily boost the power to speed things up if you’re going to be adding a large batch of fresh groceries to the contents.
The chiller drawer is designed to be colder than the rest of the fridge and provide a better home for fresh meat and fish.

We don’t like: The fridge is hard to clean in places
This tall fridge freezer, has a four-zone fridge at the top and three large-capacity drawers in the freezer section below. There’s also a special FreshZone drawer where you can adjust conditions to suit whatever is being stored inside.
In total, we managed to fit 11 supermarket carrier bags of groceries in this model. And it's currently the cheapest it's ever been at a few retailers.

We like: It runs quietly
We don’t like: Others are better in a few areas
This silver fridge freezer is frost-free, so you should never have to deal with the hassle of defrosting it manually. It has a crisper drawer for fruit and vegetables and it's large enough to hold 14 bags of shopping.
Over the past six months, we've seen this model on sale for prices ranging from £645 to more than £1,000. So it's currently the cheapest it's ever been in the past six months at a couple of retailers. At a few other retailers, it's not quite as cheap as that, but still less than it typically is.

We don’t like: Some drawers have slightly rough and seemingly unfinished edges
This silver stainless steel fridge freezer has a salad crisper drawer with adjustable humidity, allowing you to tweak the settings according to whether the fruit and vegetables you’re storing prefer slightly drier or more humid conditions.

We like: It's very quiet
We don’t like: It has some ease-of-use niggles
This smaller-capacity integrated fridge freezer is designed to sit behind a panel or door that matches your kitchen decor. It has sliding door hinges, plus its doors can be reversed to help it fit into your floorplan.
There are fast freeze and supercool functions – which are handy if you have a large amount of new food to store – plus door alarms on both the fridge and freezer sections to alert you if you leave one open.

We like: The veggie drawer works well
We don't like: The control panel menus aren't very intuitive
This Liebherr is a smaller-sized integrated fridge freezer that’s frost-free, with doors that can be reversed to help it fit into your kitchen’s floorplan.
We were able to fit nine carrier bags of food inside and found that several of the fridge shelves and door racks can be adjusted to help you do a good job of it.
It runs very quietly so shouldn't disturb you if your kitchen table doubles up as your office desk. At Sonic Direct, it's currently at its cheapest price for six months.

We like: The accurate thermostat controls
We don't like: The fridge could be easier to clean
A word of warning: American models tend to be more expensive and incur higher running costs than freestanding models. So only consider an American style model if you have the budget and need the capacity: it's not really a good deal unless you already wanted one. If you were already looking for an American model, this Haier is good value.
It has plenty of storage space and a chilled water dispenser – which, crucially, needs to be plumbed in.
It's currently the cheapest it has ever been in the past six months.

Lots of Black Friday deals are being advertised, but only a handful are genuine bargains. The deals above are the only really exciting ones we've seen.
The cost-of-living crisis has hit the large domestic appliance market pretty hard, as lots of us are prioritising buying new ones only when our old ones are broken and truly need replacing. That may incentivise retailers to offer discounts on models they need to shift.
We'll continue to keep a sharp eye on what's available. So you can be sure that the models recommended on this page are genuinely good deals: both cheaper than they normally are, and offering decent performance.

Big high street and online retailers such as Amazon, AO, Argos, Currys and John Lewis tend to offer better deals than the manufacturers.
To ensure you choose a model you’re happy with, read our fridge freezer reviews. That way, you’ll avoid picking up a ‘bargain’ that turns out to be a dud.
If you have your heart set on a multi-door or American-style fridge freezer, Haier produces a good range that are widely stocked at stores including AO, Currys and John Lewis. A bigger fridge freezer means a greater outlay though, so check all the major retailers’ websites to make sure you’re getting a competitive price.

Beko’s range of lower-priced fridge freezers is widely available on the high street and online from stockists, including AO.com, Currys and John Lewis. You can’t buy direct from the brand's own website currently, but if you buy a Beko model elsewhere and register your purchase on the Beko website within 90 days, you can extend the standard one-year guarantee to two years.

Fridgemaster fridge freezers are already often cheaper than average so you’ll need to look hard to find a discount. You’ll find the brand at cheaper retailers, including AO, Appliances Direct and Argos.

It's a brand that may be more commonly associated with TVs than refrigeration, but Samsung has an extensive range of fridge freezers available at high-street and online-only stores, including Amazon, AO, Argos and John Lewis. You can also buy models from the Samsung website, but this is often the most expensive route.
