The Kidde K7CO carbon monoxide (CO) alarm is battery powered and it needs a couple of replaceable or rechargeable AAs. The batteries should last for around a year before they need to be replaced and the alarm has been built to detect CO for 10 years. The K7CO used coloured flashing LEDs and chirps to let you know when the batteries are dying, as well as when the alarm has reached the end of its natural life. To find out how reliably it’s able to detect CO, we tested it in 28 different killer gas scenarios. Carry on reading for the full results of our tests of this Kidde battery-powered CO alarm.
