The Kidde K5CO battery-powered carbon monoxide alarm is powered by two AA batteries. The batteries should be changed annually, and the alarm will chirp and an LED will flash when they need to be replaced. Another LED flashes green every 30 seconds to show the alarm is active and in a CO incident, along with the loud alarm sounding, a red LED will flash. The alarm has been designed to last for 10 years and comes with a seven-year warranty. To find out how effective it is at detecting CO and raising the alarm, we put this alarm to the test. Read on for our results and review of this Kidde battery-powered CO alarm.
