Which? comments on the news that the CMA has launched an investigation into Ticketmaster over Oasis concert sales

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:

"The CMA is right to investigate Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing for Oasis tickets and we share the regulator's concerns that this could have breached consumer law. 

"It seems extremely unfair that Oasis fans got up early and battled through the queues only to find that ticket prices had increased dramatically and unexpectedly - especially when the high level of demand for the concerts was clear from the outset. 

"In the longer term, the government needs to use its ticketing consultation to decide when the use of dynamic pricing is so unfair that it shouldn't be allowed and update the law."
