On 2018-09-24 the EPUB 3 Community Group published a draft of the following specification:

Note that the specification is nearly finished, and we are encouraging feedback from the community. EPUB 3.2 consists of several interrelated specifications:

Participants contribute material to this specification under the W3C Community Contributor License Agreement (CLA).

The EPUB 3 Community Group has been launched:

The EPUB 3 Community Group is a forum for ongoing technical development of EPUB 3 and related extension specifications and ancillary deliverables.

The EPUB 3 Community Group charter contains full details.

In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account. Please note, however, that W3C Membership is not required to join a Community Group.

This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2017-02-06 by Ralph Swick. The following people supported its creation: Ralph Swick, Matt Garrish, Liisa McCloy-Kelley, Garth Conboy, Eoin Noble. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.

The group must now choose a chair. Read more about how to get started in a new group and good practice for running a group.
