Vote.org Responds to Wisconsin Supreme Court Ruling Restricting Access to Voting

Last updated on July 8, 2022

"If we want our democracy to thrive, we must make sure that everyone’s voices are heard. Today’s ruling from the Wisconsin Supreme Court does just the opposite,” said Andrea Hailey, CEO of Vote.org. "Drop boxes can be a convenient and accessible option — especially for voters with disabilities. Any law or decision that seeks to restrict voting behavior flies in the face of the promise of our democracy. It’s vital that we continue to push for more options that allow every eligible voter to make their voice heard."

Vote.org is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit using technology to simplify political engagement and increase turnout among young people and voters of color. In addition to the 39 million people who used Vote.org’s online voting tools during the last general election, the organization helped more than 4.2 million voters register and reached voters of color and young voters more than 651 million times through our GOTV program in 2020.
